Who do you think our starting 11 will be on Offense next year?

RB- Roc is a player. Don't count out Peyton Barber either, he's a good looking runner.

HB- Really think Chandler Cox may get this job and become one of the best fullbacks ever to come through Auburn over the years. If that doesn't pan out, Chris Laye is a possibility as well as maybe Kamryn Pettway.

WR- Stevens has not impressed me thus far but I hope he is better next year and is able to really contribute.

C- I think Golson wins this out. Just a gut feeling.

I think Ricardo is going to be surprisingly important. He's got the height and speed to do Sammie's role. I don't expect him to be as good at it as Sammie; we just need a good enough speed and deep threat to keep people out of the box and to limit double teams on the outside.

Why Tony Stephens over Melvin Ray or Marcus Davis?

I've been thinking both of those guys are going to step up and shine this year.

Stephens is built like Sammie, has better short-intermediate hands than him (like the other two options), and his only real knock is he needs more weight on his frame. He compliments D'haquille more than Melvin or Marcus too...Marcus will likely be switching time a lot with Ricardo

I realize that this is all based on pure opinion but, there is no way Duke doesn't get one of those WR spots.

hopefully he was being facetious (about the QB spot too)

I really don't think we have seen anything out of Tony Stevens to think he will be a productive WR, yet. Coates and Duke both missed time this year and Stevens couldn't even capitalize in terms of receptions. What's the issue there?

We did piss poor period against Georgia overall and for the rest of the TAMU game, we just basically threw to Quan or ran the ball. He hasn't been a real focal point of this offense, like Marcus Davis, Dominic Walker, Stanton, Fulse, etc. When he's gotten the ball to him though, he's averaged over 13 yards I believe, so he's pretty nice at YAC.

Thanks for the info. I just hope he can step in and be productive. His speed is going to be absolutely critical in keeping the safeties back and we are going to need him to be a threat to catch one deep like Sammie Coates was.

I personally wouldn't split the running backs up like that, but otherwise, I agree. It will be interesting to keep an eye on the interior of the OL.

I'd like to see more of the formations/plays where we had more than one back on the field at a time.

That I definitely agree with. Our two deepest and most talented position groups are likely OL and RB. Feed 'em, coach!

Would think it would help JJ, as well.

Agreeable! I think Kaleb Kim has a legitimate chance to beat Xavier Dampeer as backup center but I won't be surprised if they move Dampeer to DT due to their depth. There will be a battle between Adams/Diamond/Carr as backup RG and Leff/Sharp as backup RT.

I'm going to have to stop agreeing with you after this one, britt, it's probably getting really repetitive and boring for everybody else.

:)
