What's the news on Mack? He's visiting this weekend?

Just 5* WR Preston Williams ans Richard McBryde. The visitor lists for the last 2 weeks will be very small.

Jordan Colbert, Richard McBryde and Preston Williams will visit AU this weekend. Add them on your OP. Thanks! War Eagle!

Colbert and any other commit besides McBryde are UOVs if they visit. I was only thinking OVs. lol

I really wish that we would do our big recruiting weekend on the 23rd. Leaving two weekends before signing is an eternity for Auburn to lose that momentum. I guess we'll see how effective it was on signing day.

I think we like to schedule the big recruiting weekend to coincide with a basketball game. That wouldn't work this weekend. Perhaps we need to see about rearranging our basketball schedule to jive with recruiting deadlines.

The recruits' schedules might have had something to do with that.

I imagine the coaches put a lot of thought into it.

The 23rd would have been the absolutely the last weekend you'd want to have your big kids in. In life the biggest impressions are the first and last ones.

AU did the absolute right thing making it the first weekend no matter how things come out on NSD. We got a lot of momentum getting Boom, CLT, and T-Rob abd we needed to cash in on that and make strong moves immediately. Plus Boom overhauled most of the AU recruiting board so we needed to get top targets in here fast. The 30th would have been a bad weekend because if you wait then some of that mo dies and likely some of those big recruits would not have visited.

SEC offices have complete control over conference scheduling. Only 7 team can be at home on the final weekend and with 14 teams there is no way everybody gets 2 of 3 home games on thos 3 Saturdays.

Having the big recruiting weekend the first thing after the dead period is good imo. It gives the coaches more to work between then and NSD. They can recruit the top recruits after they already experienced everything about Auburn. Phone calls and in home visits then take on a different meaning.

On another subject, it seems like it would be a good idea to require anybody that wants to keep starting these visit threads, to keep the OP updated. This is the second one in a row on visits that was started and the OP not maintained. If you don't have time to keep it updated that's fine, just let another poster or a Mod start it that does. Just a suggestion.

Agreed. I'm grateful that folks are trying to take the initiative, but the last one quickly lost usefulness because it was impossible to tell what the actual list was after the first day or two it was up.

Also it allows extra time to reschedule for a recruit having trouble getting to AU, car breaks down, family emergency, etc...

. With the basketball game in T-town this Saturday maybe Auburn just takes care of business on the court and dampens their party a bit. A win there would be satisfying. Edited by gr82be

Hopefully Cowart makes it back up this weekend. He did say that last week didnt he?

Colbert said Cowart would along with Jefferson and Holland. I find that highly unlikely.

What about Prince Tega Wanogho Jr? Isn't he supposed to visit AU this week or next?

Doubt he visits anywhere, anytime soon considering he just underwent surgery to repair his broken leg.
