Here's the thing for me. I believe Global Warming exists and man has helped to cause it to a certain degree. Having worked in this arena now for almost 10 years has educated me and helped me to realize that deforestation combined with emissions has helped to degrade the atmosphere. But I still contend that it's not just man made...it's man influenced.

I like that you posted a skeptical science link. Handy site for debunking most denialist claims.

Climate reacts to whatever forces it to change at the time; humans are now the dominant forcing.

Ben - the board really does appreciate you wasting forum space with you reposting that childish propaganda.

Really, I think you're making headway w/ your message.

Do it 10 or 20 more times, and it just may do the trick !!

<_<

I don't expect it to sink in with a conspiracy theorist like you. Y'all find reality maddening. It's for the benefit others.

All I do is live in reality , Ben. That I don't buy into the fairy tales of socialism or AGW didn't make me a conspiracy nut or denier of reality.

You have it 180 degrees wrong.

I do not believe in global warming,I think it is hoax to gain control over every aspect of our lives. But even if it was real(big if)it seems to me more people would die from global cooling like an ice age than from warming.Plants can grow in warm weather they can not grow under ice.

Well, yeah. We all live in reality.

That I don't buy into the fairy takes of socialism or AGW didn't make me a conspiracy nut or denier of reality.

Yes, it does. Being skeptical of the science is one thing. Dismissing all of the very good research as the nefarious work of evil scientists in the name of eliminating capitalism is another.

You have it 180 degrees wrong.

If only I did.

The chicken little dance going on over the climate is dangerous hysterics. Time, $ and effort are being wasted over what amounts to nothing, where otherwise could be used to really help people - today.

Much like the Hands up / don't shoot protests... Pointless bs which causes more damage to the country than benefits.

Nice to see you posting down here. Here's your obligatory conspiracy theory accusation:

Either buy into the lies, or be labeled a denier. Do not question science!

Yes, good grief.

Mile high glaciers covered land where NYC now sits, long before man was walking upright. And 0.02 degree increase ( as reported ) , is somehow the cause of apoplectic convulsions by the Warm-mongers of the Left.

Don't tell me it's just now sinking in what we're up against. :glare:

Yes, you're " up against " the rest of us who reject your politics of taking from us and taxing us for a crisis which simply does not exist.

You're going to lose.

We're up against the same sort of ignorance that manifests itself any time big business picks a fight with science. It's only a matter of time before we win.

Not that it will be any sort of meaningful victory. We might be so far gone that the only benefit will be to say "haha, told you so."

Oh we'll win alright if you want to call it that. More like we all lose. By the time an effective political consensus forms, it's likely to be too late.

Yeah, I added an edit to note that.

It's not science ! It's left wing dogma & social engineering.

You're already losing , you just don't know it.

It is science, and it is on our side and the tide is turning.

As I said, the senate is on level two now. Just a matter of time before it sinks in that we are responsible for the recent warming. Climate scientists will just keep hitting them over the head with the obvious.
