CameronCrazy 885
In addition to Petrino, Grantham, and the former UGA players, it looks like we're going to have to face this monster too. Let's hope that he gets arrested or kicked off the team before then. “@ColFootballNews: Former TCU star DE Devonte a Fields to go to Louisville”

mcgufcm 3,716
More accurately, he was accused of pointing a gun at his girlfriend, threatened her, and punched her. So yeah. TCU (the school) found him in violation of the university code of conduct, and TCU (the team) booted him. Safe to say some folks think he definitely did what he was accused of. But. He's a good football player. He'll be a load in the fall.

Everyone deserves a second chance.....but the odds are pretty good that this was not his first time to exhibit some thuggish behavior....so who knows how many chances he has had already? If some ordinary student at TCU had done the same thing, he would be out of school, probably in the pokey or else having a hard time getting his local JUCO to let him enroll.... keesler 5,617
Wasn't TCU the team that had like 75% of the football team fail drug tests a couple of years ago?
mcgufcm 3,716
In fairness 64, TCU booted him even though he was the Big 12 defensive player of the year. Not sure most places would've done that. keesler, yes, that was TCU.

doc4aday 1,887
I would not want the likes of him at Auburn. FSU and Louisville are birds of a feather no doubt.
keesler 5,617
Louisville is worse than AU about taking on guys that get booted off teams lol Desperate times call for desperate measures. Coaches get the boot in the arse for not winning enough games. If they need a bandaid to patch a hole on the team then character qualities get pushed to the end of the list when looking for a player that can provide an immediate impact. It is what it is - college football is BIG buisness.
AU64 10,122
Saw on another site that Petrino and Grantham have been banned from a Ga HS campus because they pulled the old bait and switch on one of their kids...told him to take a grey shirt his first year. Coaches were furious about it. ooops...meant a SC school. Edited February 4, 2015 by AU64
