Gun Oil Question

Wish I could say. Rem oil is all I've ever used. The wipes are very convenient too. One of those "ain't broke don't fix it" kind of deals. It's never let me down.

http://www.amazon.com/Break-Free-Model-Cleaner-Lubricant-Preservative/dp/B0050GW6F6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1423531122&sr=8-8&keywords=CLP

Is what I use on all my handguns and Rifles. No issues at all, but I could put my Glocks in my dishwasher and they work just fine.

Rem oil, bore cleaner, and wipes are all you need. I've been using them on all of my firearms, from the lowliest of Taurus handguns to some ridiculously expensive NFA weapons. They've never failed me.

Thx guys. I took Alex to the range for his birthday. He just turned 10 and wants to shoot all the time.. My old 22 semi auto Marlin was jamming up after about 3 reloads. I don't know when i last cleaned it. All the guns need some TLC.

Hoppe's #9 and Break Free for the bore are what I use, but I do believe any major gun company products are plenty good enough. In the old days I used my grandma's Singer Sewing Machine Oil to finish up with. I think it's all good, as long as the cleanings are done frequently and are thorough enough.

I have some ridiculous weapons, but I do consider my two Marlins to be some of the most fun. That said, I have noticed them to be fussy about the ammo they fed. What were you using? I have found mine to function best with Stingers.

The Stinger round contains more powder, thus has more explosive pressure than a normal 22 Long Rifle round. Your rifle may be doing better with Stingers because of this.

Federal i think. It was a box of 525 rounds i bought right after the big gun/ammo shortage a couple years ago. Just dumped in a cardboard box so not top quality ammo. Good bit cheaper than stingers i suppose. Fun to shoot. If i was defending my family or surviving a zombie apocalypse i would use top grade stuff. Right now i think a good cleaning with some lube will do it.

I use Rem Oil on all my guns but I've heard good things about Froglube and have been thinking of switching to that, at least for the rails on my pistols since it stays in place better.

Break Free for a cleaner/solvent and Eezox or Hoppes for a lubricant.

I stopped at the new Larrys Pistol and Pawn on 565 yesterday and got a can of Break Free. If any of you know about Larry's, the new store is much bigger. probably not much more stock just more shoulder room. i think they are keeping both locations open. I didnt stay long but didnt see many used shotguns and rifles. the old location had more of those. just one register so it is slow.

A little off topic here but I would like an informed opinion. I currently carry a Glock 31. I am considering a Glock 34. Does anybody here have a Glock 34, and if so, what are your thoughts about the weapon? I prefer the .357 Sig round's performance, however, availability and easier shot placement of the 9mm intrigues me.
