1st inning and Auburn leads 4-0 Carasone and Melero have already homered in the game. Estell just rips one to straight away center and GONE. Auburn leads 6-0 and its Auburn's 3rd homer of the inning. All lhree home runs have been 2 run shots.

It will be more than 15 games into the season before we play a half decent team. Ladies off to a good start but this is a very weak schedule...hope they will be ready when the competition gets better.

There is a world of difference between these "warm up" teams and the better SEC teams. A quick check shows that only one team from our first 14 games made it into the tournament last year. I'm enjoying the play but don't figure these wins are telling us very much.

Just some stats to show the production of our offense this year so far.

Auburn is 2nd in team batting at .442

1st in runs scored with 124 (that's in 11 games folks) (uga is 2nd with 99)

1st in home runs with 22 (2nd is a tie between Tennessee and South Carolina with 14)

1st in on base percentage at .542

The schedule will get tougher next week when the girls head down to Tampa for the South Florida Tournament. USF's Coach, Ken Erikson, also doubles as Team USA's Coach. The girls also have a trip to Fullerton before SEC play starts to play Arizona and Arizona State.
