Yes. At any time, I'll have either my Leatherman Wave or my trusty Kershaw 1550ST. I have a few others at home.

This is in part a generational thing. Knifes were essential in the days before fingernail clippers were common and pre-packed lunches replaced buying md-day meals at the country store. Also, knifes were frequently gifts from fathers to sons as a rite of passage.

I carry a Kershaw Speedsafe 1302 Blackwash.

Nice. I'm so used to opening my Kershaw with the thumbstud that switching back to regular old folding knives feels like a major inconvenience.

Nothing's worse than needing a knife and not having one on you.

No doubt. When I was 13 or so, an old man looked at me and said, "Can I borrow your knife? I left mine up front." I told him that I didn't have one, and he berated me in front of everybody for not carrying a knife. I have carried one everyday since.

Don't carry it everywhere, but I have the same Swiss Army tool for 15 years. Is very useful...

Not bad. Probably paid more than I paid for the Wave, though:

I doubt it..............just cause it was a gift Ben lol.

I checked. Had you purchased it, you would have paid more than I did for the Wave.

Really Big? "My knife is better than your knife"?

Always have a knife. I don't even consider it a weapon or means of self defense. Nothing fancy just usually a 2.5-3" locking blade. I am not good at sharpening either. I need to work on that.

We all have our preferences, though.

I always carry two unless I'm at the gym. Sometimes three when I wear my boots.

A small one on a necklace and one in my pocket.

I used to practice self defense with them on a bunk bed post no joke.

Nope, don't carry.

Used to at all times in the military then at my civvie job.

No need for one now though, used to have a SOG(sp?) looked similar to the multi-tool posted a page back.

Now the only things I fix is in/around my house, and every tool I need is in my garage.
