what is it about the French, or maybe that part of Europe, which sees the human body as an art form unlike anywhere else int he world ?

Dude should find his way to Muscle Beach.

Does it not bother anyone that this guy has just decided to be homeless so he can body build?

He is not disabled, etc. He just doesnt want to work or have an Apartment.

He abandoned his family around 14 years ago. Hasnt seen any of them until recently.

He seems to have traded his addiction to alcohol for an addiction to body building.

I am sorry, but hearing a man trying to motivate me to body build when he walked away from his family is just not something i am going to waste a second on.

But maybe i am wrong. Maybe in this Kardashian Crazy World we live in it all makes sense.

I did not know the back story. Sounds weird indeed.

Regardless, go to the gym or exercise at least 30 minutes 4 times a week. You'll thank me and your doctor will be impressed. :muscles:

He's french so it's not surprising. Europeans celebrate laziness when it comes to working so it actually makes perfect sense.

Not sure if 'lazy' is the right word. He's not on a couch ( curb ) eating and drinking all day long. He's physically in better shape than most. But if that's all one did for their life, he'd better be.

The French have an interest in the finer things in life, but they are offended when anyone suggests they actually EARN the ability to enjoy such things through such a thing as 'work'. They simply expect to have those things furnished for them, free of charge or effort.

It's a bit weird.

It's weird to you and me but it's a growing phenomenon and it's spreading here as well. I saw a story about a woman in GB who draws quite a chunk of money off the social welfare system there and then goes on trips all over the world. She isn't the least bit ashamed of it either.

I think I recall the same women also wanting a bigger subsidized house as well. Claimed she DESERVED it because she has a big family, and the govt should just GIVE her one.

Might be a different gal though, come to think of it.

I couldn't listen to the video so I'd like to know if it mentioned his diet. He needs more calories, protein, carbs, etc than an average person,

so how is he able to afford the food to replenish his muscles?

This is France. You don't need to work to get plenty of food or anything else you need or even want. Government will take care of it. Edited by cooltigger21

Well, he obviously doesn't have a house. Or else, he wouldn't be called homeless.

The ole *****head in me googled up this guy. The locals call him "cochard." (hope i got the right.) It roughly translates into "bum/dog."

He is buying some very expensive supplements.

He obviously has access to a great tanning bed as well.

He is paying his fees to enter into BB Contests.

BUT, he cant spend time at a job nor with his kids nor grandkids.

One video of him has 4M hits, another has 2.7M Hits. He is a certified youtube phenom in the US.

In Kardashian Land you can be famous for almost nothing. BTW, there is a feature length documentary about him in the works even now.

:puke:

He actually had a pan out for money and next to the pan was a protein powder canister and probably some type of prework out canister. So he isn't trying to fool anyone and you can choose or not choose to donate to his protein needs.

This guy needs a gofundme!

The man that wakes up at 4am to work out before a 12 hour work shift is more inspirational than this guy. I m not giving money away so he can buy protein.

That makes two of us. I once knew of a guy around Birmingham. He would sit on the offramp of the interstate begging money. At the end of the day he'd go climb in his nice caddy and go home.

It's a large, culturally diverse, world class city. That's where you find the outliers (graphically speaking). ;D

Saw a guy panhandling the other day. He had full bandage on his leg, and 1 crutch. He was using the crutch on the side of his good leg, taking the pressure off his uninjured side, and 'walking' on the bandaged one. <_<

Nice ruse, otherwise. I mean, the bandage went from upper thigh to his ankle, so what ever injury he was suppose to have was " non specific " in appearance.

His leg hurt. He was homeless. Feel sorry for him,and give generously.

I didn't.

Every time I meet a bum wanting money for their kids, gas, food, whatever, I offer to go inside and pay for their gas, food, etc just so I can have a clear conscious of not paying for black and milds or drugs. Needless to say, most of the time the bums get defensive and don't need help anymore...

Oh, and every long bum story begins with, "I'm a Christian, " like I'm supposed to ignore my gut instincts about them and identify their struggles with pity just because there is a chance of sharing a similar group identity with them.

 Seriously?

I'm really beginning to wonder if you aren't just pulling our leg with some of the wild stereotypes and absolutes you post. Certainly SOME Europeans are lazy, just as some people on every continent are lazy (with the possible exception of Antarctica--just getting there implies some degree of industriousness). But I have never heard anyone label the entire population of Europe as 'lazy' before.

It's a free country, you're entitled to your beliefs, but are you serious, or just posting under an assumed satirical comedic persona...sort of the 'Stephen Colbert' of this forum?

[if the latter, then I applaud you for doing a much better, more creative, more entertaining job than ichy does with his fake "illiterate conservative" schtick. ]

The welfare state in Europe makes what we have in the United States look like child's play. In France it is nearly impossible to fire a bad worker. It is easier to fire a bad teacher here and that is not an exaggeration. They demand and get all manner of benefits and demand and get less time at work. They get all up in arms at any attempt to even modestly curb this. Edited by cooltigger21

My concern is with your statement that "Europeans celebrate laziness when it comes to working".

1. The level of benefits a government provides to its people is not a measure of how "lazy" said people might be, nor of the work ethic of the people.

2. France is only one nation in Europe. (Even if one accepts, momentarily for the sake of discussion, a stereotype that all French are lazy.) There is no rational basis for taking conditions in France, good or bad, as definite of all nations or people in Europe. Do Swiss, Germans, Danes, Norwegians, Poles, Scots, Austrians, etc., etc., etc. really celebrate laziness?

3. Strong worker protection laws, whether in France or in the any branch of U.S. economy, in no way represent a "celebration of laziness". Such protections may result in an incompetent worker retaining a job he/she shouldn't, but they also protect competent workers from the arbitrary whims and prejudices of irrational or biased management. Such protections have pros and cons, but they are not a celebration of laziness. Also, "incompetent" is not a synonym for "lazy". Some incompetent people work their asses off while accomplishing nothing, while some lazy people are extremely productive because they find shortcuts or more efficient ways of doing things in their drive to reduce the demands of their working day.

4. Wanting or receiving benefits or reduced working hours is not the same as being lazy. Most humans would like more benefits and fewer hours, but that in no way implies they're slackers on the job or don't work their butts off while there. Perhaps the U.S. should go back to a 6-day, 12-hours-per-day work week, with no benefits like paid sick leave or vacations, no retirement, no work-site safety regulations, no worker's compensation, etc.? We don't want to foster a culture that celebrates laziness at work!

I thinks it's funny to read a debate of moral merits of his choices.

It seems pretty evident to me he's a psychological outlier, if not clinically ill.

In other words, weird people act weird. ;D
