If you don't recognize the posts on this forum that are worth a good mocking, then you are part of the problem.

I don't know of one,but then I know basically nothing about the logistics of scheduling business trips for heads of state. I don't even know that Obama rented 700 rooms. Is hearsay from a stranger you met in Jamaica your only source for this figure?

Even if your friend did hear a figure of "700 rooms", that could easily be a count for all delegations including security, staff, international press, etc. I have no idea if that is excessive for a conference of that size, but I would not jump to the conclusion that Obama alone has 700 rooms for his staff, security, and the U.S. delegation.

I also have no idea how many rooms were needed when Reagan went to Jamaica in 1982.

Don't usually agree with qf, but this is correct. No way to know who rented all 700 rooms and it is very unlikely that was all for any one party.
