We're Johnny Cash, so, of course, the coolest.

While Johnny Cash is cool, he was neither a band nor played rock and roll so the pick makes no sense based on the headline.

Well, someone thought he played enough rock and roll to be inducted into the Hall of Fame:

Well, keep in mind, he cut his teeth in the 50's. His music back then was just as rock n roll as anybody. I've heard many times that "modern" country music was born from 50's and early 60's rock n roll. It's subjective, I suppose, but I do believe back then, he was considered rock n roll. Country would have been the likes of Hank Williams (Sr)/Patsy Cline and their music wasn't ANYthing alike. Johnny Cash was more comparable to Buddy Holly and to a lesser extent, Elvis. Remember a lot of The King's rock n roll was country tinged.

I know he's in the HOF, but to me he's not rock, but hey, totally willing to agree to disagree. No biggie.

But he's still not a band! :-)
