Lower The Drinking Age!

"The choice between virtue and vice is a human choice. Relying on the government to make this choice for us disables the social order’s internal mechanisms for bringing about and rewarding responsible behavior. It seems like a paradox, but it is true: The only path toward restoring sanity in teenage drinking is greater liberty. "

If you can pick up your weapon and fight with honor at 18, you should be able to drink a beer. Just my opinion.

Raise the licensed driving age to 18 or graduation from high school.

- cuts congestion on highways

- reduces accidents and injuries

- cuts use of gasoline and resulting pollution

Most of these kids have never been socialized in what it means to drink responsibly. They are living for the thrill that comes with defiance.

Lowering the drinking age won't help until our culture changes from guzzling alcohol at a party to responsible drinking.

raise the voting age.

Italy has a 25 year old voting requirement for the Senate. They pretty much said that the elderly people spend more money so they should get the majority of the benefits. Also, it was a measure to bring stability after WW2. I have to say that I'm not against the measure.

Concerns that were adequately addressed in the article. Draconian drinking laws work to discourage responsible drinking, while doing little to nothing to discourage reckless behavior.

You use to be able to consume alcoholic drinks on a military base at the age of 18. Then Congress in under pressure from MADD required the military to enforce the minimum drinking age on base of the state where the base is located.

This is very true. Binge drinking is the norm. Especially with the younger generations.

Why you're telling me this is going over my head. What does this parody have to do with my post?
