Les Miles knows the answer he's going to give before the question is even asked.

He's kinda like Jeremy Johnson I guess lol

Haha all in good fun. Wasn't an angry comment. It's not like JJ doesn't know he's deciding what to do pre-snap anyways. Better than saying HE SUCKS BENCH HIM.......after 2 years of clamoring for him to come in the game lol

How can so many coaches say this out loud without following it up with "just kidding"?

Maybe the people that actually know football are a little more enlightened than you?

So how many Auburn Fans do you think spent Monday morning telling Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia fans how good that JSU team was?

Jacksonville St. is #1 in the FCS rankings....I think that proves they are a pretty good team.

Fair enough. Where do you think they would rank in the SEC?

I think JSU is a good football team. They were well coached, and executed well. They played hard and maintained composure until the last 2 minutes of the game. They aren't as talented a team, as other "good" teams that we face, but from all other objective factors I'd say they were pretty damn good.

That being said, it didn't matter who we played, Les Miles wasn't going to come out and say "yeah can't believe they almost lost to _________." You've got to give everyone their due respect. Maybe we would have played better against JSU with that attitude.

LOL...they probably would have given many SEC teams fits. probably could have beaten Vandy, SC, maybe Kentucky

Maybe, maybe not. Every team in the country is capable of playing like dog crap. If Ohio State came out and played with the lack of focus, execution, effort and game-plan that we played with, and JSU played like they did, I think they would give OSU fits too. Look at what happened to Arkansas. Every team is susceptible to it.

That being said, you have to have a standard to play to, and we failed to coach and play to our standard.

Being kind and generous, but we all know that Jack State should not have been able to mount any type of threat against AU.

In all honestly I agree JSU is a good football team for their division and they deserve a lot of credit for their performance this weekend (Glad the polls reflect this). In addition, I don't think a coach would ever say disparaging remarks about JSU or Auburn (or any other teams in a similar situation).

That really don't have anything to do with what you said though....You said how do coaches not sicker saying they're a good team...maybe because they really feel they're a good team. I'm not saying they should have beat us or even been close to but that wouldn't mean they're not a good team...Things like their poise and how accurate their timing routes were??? That's a good team man

fwiw, it would be interesting IMO if Will assigned a QB "spy" for this game, though that often falls to a dominant, athletic, experienced, aware linebacker and I'm not sure who fits that bill. Garrett? Tre without the experience part? Could be a hybrid player too. Would be a waste to do it with Carl. Seems like a worthy idea in light of our dual-threat QB struggles so far but the downside of course can be some plays (unless its 3d and long) can be like playing with 10 defenders.

That is actually the one role that Frost is fit for. Dude is dominantly athletic. And, good or bad, he's hugely experienced. Aware? Well, maybe if he only has to be aware of one thing...
