One thing that has baffled me for years is how we can bring in top 15 recruiting classes since 2010, bring in proven position coaches, and still be a lightning-in-a-bottle team. We play with the same kids that Nick Saban's, Mark Richt's, Les Miles', and Jimbo Fisher's have clamored for but ultimately chose us. How is it that under 4 DCs we have the same problems year in year out?

At this point I'm starting to consider the paranormal, the occult, and the supernatural as likely suspects because the consistency of woes is unreal.

I've been a certified sunshine pumper since 1991 but this enigma is clogging up the pipes...

I'm wondering if Tuberville put a defensive curse on the team as he exited.

That is the big mystery JB. This staff may be guilty of doing what caused collapse of Chizik pyramid. His staff spent all their time recruiting stars. It does take more time and money for Auburn to recruit a top ten class than other big time programs. But the most important part of coaching is coaching. JSU one and two stars outplayed our 4 and 5 stars. Why? I'll probably catch a lot for saying this.

Not really. Apart from a handful, those guys typically get who they really want over us. The other problem is that our recruiting rankings are fluffed by guys that ultimately don't fill our glaring holes. Who gives a crap if your third string RB is a 5-star when you've got glaring holes elsewhere? We recruit top WR's but don't run an offense that gets them the ball.

And I don't disagree. Tuberville's teams were well coached. But again, is our problem that every coach we've hired a great recruiter but a coaching hack? It doesn't add up...

Exactly. The elite teams recruiting are the teams getting top 7ish classes consistently. We thought Gus would be able to take these lesser talented classes that were still top 10 and run against the Alabama and LSUs with them. Which I'll say, we got quite a bit of talented prospects, but A. They get no development B. They transfer. The guys here always saying good riddance should be kicking themselves right now, because now we're stuck with a bunch of young guys that are getting exposed and those young guys have no depth behind them.

We all got sucked in Malzahn's hurry up - spread offense and thought we'd win every game. But as we go into year number 3, things are not looking good. In fact, there getting worse with every game.

No, not all of us.

I don't understand our Defensive struggles. So many coordinators and position coach changed but no change since Tubby. Are our practices too soft?

Can we forfeit the rest of the season? I don't have the heart to watch TAMU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Tennesse, Alabama, and Georgia all throttle us as much as we got beat tonight and it's not going to change.

This really makes the price they charged for season tickets even more bull****.

Like it or not we are never going to be great year in and year out. We are just not able to recruit to that level. We will catch that lightening every few years, but not consistently. The Turds get who they want, just a fact. The mutts get basically who they want. Now the criminols are about the same. We are is a hard spot. We will win a few recruiting battles here and there but that's about all we can hope for. You know that's not necessarily bad after all we have played for more NCs than most SEC teams this century.

There is not a darn thing hurry up about us. Except we hurry up and get our but off the field after 3 stupid ass plays.

I still believe in it.

He just does not run it anymore.

We have no defensive line. It looked like they just gave up. I can't believe we only signed one defensive tackle last year, know our depth issues. Now, we have whiffed on nearly top defensive tackle.

I have thought that our DL is not awful.

We don't have any LB's to make plays behind them.
