Great accomplishment but still a long ways to go.

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men's golf team has been ranked No. 1 nationally in the Golfweek Sagarin rankings. It is the first time the Tigers have been ranked No. 1 since the 2011-12 season in the Coaches' Poll.

Florida State is second followed by Clemson, Illinois, McNeese State, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, LSU, Georgia Tech and Arizona State.

Stanford is 11th followed by Georgia, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, Jacksonville, Oklahoma, Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas A&M and Alabama.

Louisiana Tech is 21st followed by Purdue, UCLA, Florida and Texas.

The Tigers, coached by seventh-year head coach Nick Clinard, won their first tournament of the season at the Carpet Capital Collegiate. True freshman Jacob Solomon led the Tigers with a top-10 finish in his college debut. The Tigers will return to action Sep. 28-29 at the Primland Collegiate Invitational at the Primland Resort in Meadows of Dan, Va.
