Past bye weeks- can you help me STAT?

So I have a sick feeling whenever we have a bye week. I thought I would check wiki and since 2000, below are our Tigers results after a bye week of 10 days to 14 days, not counting bowls. We are 9-7 after a bye week. If I throw out 2010 (NC season) and 2013 (NC game appearance) and 2012 (3-9 season), we are 7-6. This has always bothered me!! I would love to hear your thoughts on why our coaches don't do a better job of preparing our team with extra time? And here we are tomorrow night, playing KY, COMING OFF A BYE WEEK. Oh brother!
