How far can this team go this year

With SW at QB it looks like the O is getting back to being the kind of O we have expected from a GUS Team. It still has a ways to go but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. SW haas gotten better in every game he started out as a game manager and now he is starting to be a focal point of the offense. O-Line is starting to gel they are starting to pick up Blitzes but still need work. RB play has been solid and will get better. Ricardo is stepping up but need more from other receivers.

At this time the D is what we have come to expect at D in recent years. We need to outscore people to win. Biggest problem is in the front 7 D-Line has to make plays. Casanova is getting better at DE even with the missed tackle. I think we will start to see some improvement this week aggainst Arkansas.

Team is 4-2

Arkansas - This team can beat Arkansas with a little improvement. 5-2

Ole Miss - If we improve from week to week we can beat Ole Miss it will be tough. 6-2

Texas A&M - Look really good but need to see them Play LSU or Bama at this time I think they win 6-3

Georgia - Tough game but this is the game that decides if we have started to really turn the corner not sure why but I think we win 7-3

Idaho - We win going away 8-3

Bama - They are a hard team to understand this year but I don't think thay are as good as many do we find a way to beat them. 9-3

What are your predictions

Pretty positive outlook. With the exception of Idaho, all could be losses also. Probably somewhere in between.

I could see wins against Arky, GA and Idaho, the rest not so much

You could be right but like I said just have a feeling about Georgia not based on fact and Bama other than Georgia game hasn't really been that dominant.

If the team plays like they can, they are capable of beating anyone else on the schedule. That doesn't mean they will, but no SEC team has looked head and shoulders above everyone else consistently.

I also think we have 3 more wins if Arky brings their normal game and not their once a season top performance and Georgia isn't able to figure out how to succeed without Chubb. I think Arky will implode against us as they always do under Bielema. He's so worried about beating Gus that he beats himself.

Idaho is the only given, of course. It will be nice to play an actual cupcake, this year.

Alabama is the wild card. If Will can get the light to come on by the Iron Bowl, then I think we have a serious shot. If not, then it's not going to be pretty no matter how mediocre their offense is.

I find this view a bit odd. Sure we saw improvement last night, and I think we see enough to know this shouldn't be an implosion like 2012, but 9-3? Yikes. Just cause we best a ho-hum Kentucky team by 3 as our first sign of life doesn't mean we can pull off only losing one more game all year.

Arkansas- toss up, so I'll count it (w)

Ole miss- their offense looks exponentially better even counting the UF game. If we have to out score to win (let's face it we will) their O beats ours, (L)

TAMU- at their place and they look like one of the better complete teams in the west this year. (L)

UGA- this team has owned us even when we've looked good, and we look better sure, but we don't look good. (L)

Idaho- win

ALA- I want to say the usual anything can happen stuff into this part but they still have a defense guys, even if their offense is spotty. I'd say we have a shot in this game esp with it at auburn. It's a toss up but until I see more consistent play its marked as a loss for now (L)

These are my predictions based on what we have seen so far. If we keep getting better, sure maybe we can win more. But I need to see it. One slightly above average game on Offense and a still clearly poor performance on defense doesn't make me believe we'll suddenly win most of our games now

Only Idaho is a sure win. We should be underdogs in the rest.

You are correct. The reality is that we are not good but we are fighters. The win last night made me happy for so many reasons, but the main reason is that we showed we are not quitters. I do not think we will win too many more games this season but as long as we keep fighting I will be proud of the team.

Overtime with an FCS team tells me Idaho is not a sure win. None of them are sure wins or sure losses.

We get more physical r arky kills us.

Pansy play calling for Bama would have resulted in a loss. Which is what Gus does.

It's an AM game by a team that is coached timidly.

I would love to be proved wrong but cards are not stacked in our favor.

Brett will have his team ready for us. He is hungry. Gus, well not so sure.

IF we can take Arky, it is game on my friends. WDE!

This.

I'd be ecstatic with 9 wins, 'happy' with 8, at this point, given how we've performed so far.

I think we may be finally getting it together on offense. I agree Arky is a critical game. UGA may get down if the Gators beat them, as I expect they will. I think we win 3 more and finish the regular season with 7 wins if we get by Arky.

I feel like Arky, Ole Miss, Idaho and Uga are winnable games. A&M and bammer are possible but will take some pretty MAJOR improvement from this point in time.

I had to stop once you suggested beating OM....no sir

I think other than the obvious Idaho win, the next easiest are probably: Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, OM, TAMU

Alabama is the third most likely because that's probably when Lawson will be back (or Georgia) if he comes back at all. If we can force them to throw maybe if Coker looks completely horrible (worse than any game he's played this year) we could eek out a win

We will win the IB this year. Call me crazy, but I'm calling it now.

You're crazy! But I'll get the crow thawing just in cast...

Last night was a step in the right direction, but this is still an average to below average team by SEC standards. 7-5 would give us 2 wins over Arky, OM, TAMU, UGA and Bama. I think that's probably about our ceiling unless something crazy happens

I don't really think anyone was watching the team last night and considering them to now be championship caliber. It's just none of the other teams on the schedule are heads and shoulders above everyone. A&M got dragged to OT by Arkansas. UGA has dropped two games and was completely annihilated in one of them. Ole Miss looked great, then they got annihilated by Florida. Bama is probably the most consistent, but even they gift-wrapped the win by Ole Miss. Even though Auburn does not play Florida, that Kentucky team they just beat gave Florida as close a game as the one last night (just much lower scoring).

If Auburn continues to improve, every team on the schedule is beatable. That said, the play in these first 6 games also tells us that not even Idaho is an automatic win. With last night as a baseline and improving from there, there is no reason to assume that Auburn will not win the rest of their games. They absolutely can win the rest of them. Will they? Who knows, that's why they play the game.

I don't think we can bank on 9-3 but I also think some are under selling the UK win. UK is a much better team than normal with more athletes than normal. They may implode after that loss last night but they are no pushover. Funny thing is before the season I heard a lot of folks saying (when we were still projected top 10) that the UK game could be a trap but now that we beat them all of a sudden they are not that good? After the JSU game and the lackluster SJSU game I think a road win against even an average UK team is solid. Yes we gave up 497 yards but we also made a couple of key plays in big moments and other than the one long run by Williams I thought our run D was somewhat better. I think we probably lose to Arky on the road, have a shot at upsetting OM at home, lose to A&M, beat Idaho, I think we get UGA and lose to bama. So if we find a way to beat OM then its 7-5, if not then 6-6.

Ark. - not sold on our defense being able to stop their run game (L)

OM - they beat us by two touchdowns

Tx a&m - we get blown away

GA - they have our number

Idaho - win

Bama - they can name the score. We wont score.

I can see your reasoning. Arky is the key.
