Hugh Freeze's Weekly Presser - Auburn vs. Ole Miss

Recommended Posts

"Knowing Gus (Malzahn) like I know him, they'll be ready to go," Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said during his Monday press conference. "They'll have a great plan and they'll be hungry for success at home. There's nothing like returning home in front of your people to help give you that boost of energy that you may need.

"I expect we're going to see the best Auburn team of the entire year."

"They're not going to give up, you know that," said Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly. "But it comes down to game execution. They're going to bring their A-Game and we're going to have to bring our A-Game."

"I don't look at it as a revenge thing, I just look at it as us trying to get the W," said defensive back Trae Elston, who was teammates with Auburn running back Roc Thomas at Oxford High School. "We've lost to them twice in a row, and it's always exciting to play a team you want to beat."

"They do so much on offense — shifts, motions, unbalance, Wildcat quarterback, just about everything," said Ole Miss linebacker C.J. Johnson. "We know we're going to have to stop them from running the ball. Tempo's going to be something that will be real big in the game. If you can get them stopped on first down, you can kind of slow the tempo down."

"Ya'll guys picked them to win the SEC to start the season, so obviously they have a lot of talent. We know that, and we know the threat that they pose offensively with everything they do. Our biggest challenge is we just have to go there and play with the intensity and locked-in focus that we had on Saturday."
