Question and advice on bowl tickets.

I noted that ticket prices are falling on http://www.tiqiq.com...campaign=widget

I am thinking about coming down to visit family and go to the game, but it may be a last minute decision.

Does "E-ticket" mean I can print it out myself on the day of the game? I have done this for concerts but I haven't heard of football game tickets handled this way.

Otherwise, can tickets be purchased as "will hold"?

If I go, I want to have decent seats - no endzone, no upper deck, no general admission. I'll need at least 2, maybe 3 tickets.

Anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Fortunately I have never been to the B'ham Bowl so this is based on my experience at the Outback Bowl last year. The game will not come close to selling out even though trying to go through the Auburn ticket website will make it seem so (this year's allotment has been sold through as well). Non-university ticket allotments will NOT be discounted even just prior to the game, and were readily available last year at the ticket window if you want to try and buy discounted on the secondary market at the stadium (check local scalping laws, in FL you cannot sell at any price within 100 yards of the venue). E-tickets are very common and can, in many cases, be scanned from your smart phone. Do not buy from an individual in hand as these can be duplicated multiple times (not a crime until the same seat is presented for entry at the venue). My brother got burned on this at the Louisville game (although last minute gut instinct and an overly helpful detective helped get the perp). I take it you haven't been to Legion field since probably we all HAD to be there as the upper deck was torn down years ago. General admission is in the end zone as you can see on the B'ham Bowl ticket site. Good seats near mid-field were available as recently as a couple of days ago, however they were on the home (Memphis) side. I will be buying four, not sure what I will do but most probably buy from the ticket window day of the game. Hope that helps a little.

If you want reserved seats, it doesn't look like you won't be able to get them together. (from the Bowl ticket site.)

As of today, you can get as many as 4 together for about $70 ea., if I understand the site linked in the OP.

My wife gave me two tickets to he game for Xmas.

Can anyone give me any heads up on parking, etc for the game? I've never been to Legion Field.

Most of the times I went (back in the late 60's/early70's) we parked downtown and took a shuttle bus which left from specified sites.

I'm hoping for something similar if I go this year, but I haven't looked into it yet.

Here's the site you need for this: http://birminghambow...m/fan-guide.php Click on "shuttle".

Not sure what I will do yet, might park at the field.

With how far Auburn's season has gone down at (6-6) and Memphis at (9-3), I wonder who will have more fans.

sold out Auburn tickets but I assume there will be more UAB people then anyone. :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I hope there is a supportive crowd. This will likely be a very competitive game that we may not win. I don't get to see many live games. This is a great chance to see one with much better seats than I normally get.
