Rose Bowl (Stanford vs. Iowa)

Stanford up 14-0 and Iowa driving. Iowa on the Stanford 37 yard line and it's INTERCEPTED and returned for a touchdown. 21-0 with 4:07 to play in the first quarter.

Two McCaffrey brothers play high school ball in Colorado are doing really well. Probably going to Stanford or Duke but would love for Gus to have a playmaker like Christian on our team.

MacCaffery making Iowa defenders look silly......breaking ankles all over the field on that punt return. Big 10 not looking too good in this game.

Well we had a play by Iowa where the QB was way beyond the line of scrimmage when he threw it. The Idiot announcers (Musburger and Palmer) just continue to talk and totally ignore everything happening on the field. They show the Stanford coach walking the sidelines, all while you can hear the referee talking in the background, likely explaining what just happened. We have no idea what he said because the two announcers totally ignored everything on the field. It's beyond irritating to me to watch games (happens in basketball a lot too) where the camera is on a coach or fan or team bench while something is being discussed on the floor or field. We can't see anything at all that is happening. Coaches get called to the scorers table in basketball and we barely get anything from it. They never show the officials discussing the situation or what they are going to do. I can't stand that. I want to see what they are doing. I couldn't give a rats ass about some idiot fan in the stands or seeing other players or coaches.

Chances are they called an ILLEGAL FORWARD pass which would have been loss of down (pass was incomplete). But there was still 13 seconds on the clock and the referee was announcing something and by the time they got the field where you could see him, he was saying the half is over..and the teams started leaving the field. NO IDEA what happened there because of the idiot announcers not paying attention.

Plz! McCaffrey is the best college football player in the country and he proved it tonight by putting up 360 all purpose yards and 3 TDs, one rushing, one receiving, and one punt return, while Henry had 75 yards rushing and 2 TDs.

McCaffrey may be the the best RB in the country.

Without question. I'll go a step further and say he's the best PLAYER in the country. Great players excel in big games and on the big stage and that's exactly what he did today. He's far and away the best player out there.

As I said weeks ago, an Alabama player wins it over a more deserving Stanford player... A little deja vu? That team went on to win the NC. I hope this year isn't a complete repeat from that one.

Well Michigan State was presumed to be good because they beat an Iowa team that was in the Top 5. Apparently neither team is very good.

How about ... an 8-team playoff? Would certainly have liked to see Stanford & Ohio State added to the top 4. What other 2 teams this year to make 8?

McCaffrey is the best football player in college football. Hence.....he should have the hardware to prove it. Bias all day long.

And get rid of NYE games. Viewership was down 35% this year versus last year's New Year's Day games. NCAA is trying to create a tradition akin to NFL on thanksgiving, NBA Christmas Day, and MLB July 4th.

I just don't see many neutral/average fans tuning in on New Year's Eve for the CFP. Too many parties, functions, ball drop etc. for them to get excited about the CFP. Especially east coast folks, I'm sure the bama game wrapped up right around midnight.

Too bad he doesn't have a type of REC buying and pulling of him. Bar-none the best player in the country!

War Tiger did you see the fumble trick play? It appeared to me the QB (while faking the fumble) placed or touched the ball on the ground while he still had position. Should that have been ruled down at that point?
