****Didn't listen? Here's another chance to turn around. Stop reading here for potential spoilers lie in the posts below****

Wow. Marathoned it over two days. I can't say much without spoiling it, other than our justice system and juror system is totally screwed.

If you watched and liked Jinx on HBO, it's right up your alley.

This came up as being recommended and I added it to my list. Will definitely start it up over the weekend. How many episodes are there?

10, each episode is 45-60 min.

This without spoiling the show

Making a Murderer, a 10-part documentary released Dec. 18 on Netflix, follows the case of Steven Avery, a Manitowoc County, Wis., man convicted of killing a freelance photographer two years after being exonerated for a crime he didn't commit.

Began watching a couple days ago. We've gotten through 5 episodes so far. Highly recommend.

That's how far I am in. It's fantastic. Reminds me of Serial (season 1).

Anonymous is claiming to have more information about the case including emails and messages from the Minitowoc sherriff department.

I was wondering when they would get involved. Unfortunately, I don't think that the emails would be submissible since (I assume) they were obtained illegally. Now if the emails point to something that would produce evidence (where they actually found the vehicle or where Teresa's body was burned first), and they when there and found evidence that would reopen his case, then that's something else.

i finally finished. SPOILER ALERT. stop reading now. I think he may have committed the crime but there was tons of doubt, beyond reasonable. I don't think the kid was involved at all. It is bad enough that the prosecution, sheriff's dept. and the kid's first atty are not jailed or disbarred. but for this to holdup through all the appeals is beyond disturbing.

I don't know if he did it or not and I blame that doubt on Manitowac County and Calumet County officials for their handling of the investigation. I would take a boat around the world to avoid going through Manitowac Co Wisconsin. I wouldn't trust that sheriffs department for anything.

Here's an interesting theory that implicates Colborn, Halbach's brother and friend as well as Scott Tadych and Bobby Dassey:

I figure enough time has passed that we can openly discuss the documentary for those have watched the show in its entirety.

I personally believe Tadych and Bobby Dassey did it. Their testimonies and time lines didn't match up at all.

And then there's this screen cap at the time of Brendan's verdict. Notice Tadych's reaction...

I can't believe OJ and Casey Anthony got away with what they did based on reasonable doubt, but jurors in two different cases managed to hand down the verdict for Brendan and Steven based on incredibly shoddy evidence.

Also, I'd really like to be a fly on the wall during those juror deliberations. What was it, 3 voted guilty immediately, 7 innocent and 2 undecided initially? How could those 3 convince the rest of the group to side with them based on the evidence provided?

There's also this theory, in which a cold case expert believes that a serial killer could have framed Steven and Brendan, it's quite a stretch:
