I amazing to me how much negativity there is is from our fans and other fans after the season we just had. I believe this season still hasn't sunk in for most (including me) and as time passes we will become aware of what we have accomplished.

The 2004 Auburn team was the 1992 Alabama team with an offense-the 1996 Florida team with a defense-no one can compare what USC did to Oklahoma to us. People have opinions and mine is that when a team that has a terrible pass defense turns the ball over 4-5 times in the first half against a good passing team, then a blowout can occur. We will never know what would have happened if we played USC.

It is hilarious that some Bama fans try to make fun of any attempt by us to claim a National Championship-just hilarious-BAMA fans. You know the same ones that claim titles from 2 loss seasons to seasons where they were beat in thier bowl games. I guess they need something to take their minds off of that showing against Minnesota until it's time for Talledega. But if Brodie had not gotten injured...

i have a hard time finding things to complain about. it was just incredible. i was there for every home game in 1993 and that team, much as i love them, wouldn't have a chance against this one. bold statement, but absolutely true in my eyes. this team was unreal. i'll never try to take about from usc by saying the suck or anything, but i'll also never say they were better than us. we would've beaten them around more than anyone they've seen in two years. it's just too bad we didn't get a chance to put give america a real champ.

Erik in all honesty i have not seen alot of negativity from Auburn fans. Now Bama fans are a different story.

It has definitely sunk in for me. I was a little girl in '57, but stiil remember how excited my Dad was when Auburn went undefeated and was named National Champions. I was there in '93 also, and I agree that that team couldn't hold a candle to this one. This team is so unique, so special, there aren't enough words to describe them. (My family & friends would find that statement funny, since I'm rarely at a loss for words when it comes to my Tigers!) They will be remembered for more than a championship, 13-0 season. They became more than a team; they are a band of brothers who learned how to lead, on and off the field. I know this will never happen again in my lifetime. Even if we win a National Championship, it will be with a different team. Don't get me wrong, being NC will be special, no matter when it happens (and it will), but it will be different. Yeah, I know, very corny, very schmaltzy, too sentimental. Can't help it. I don't know when this cloud I'm on's gonna evaporate, but this season will always be the best in my heart and mind. Oh, and you guys on this forum have helped to make it special, too. I learn so much from you all and I know most of you are just as sentimental as I am.
