Barber seems like a really good kid, but I thought that Jovon was clearly the better running back in terms of talent, so his leaving really caught me off guard. I hope it works out for him and he's not just getting bad advice from somewhere.

Probably a good move. His stock won't be any higher next year snce I doubt he rushes for 1,000 yards again given JR looks to get a majority of the carries. Good luck to him. I love his work ethic.

Hate to see this....can't have too many pounders at RB. Do we have anyone like him waiting in the wings?. Good as Jovon is, he can't do it by himself.....and even a minor injury and the guy behind him will likely not be as good as Peyton. JMO.

Don't see KJ as the same kind of back....Barber outweighs him by about 30+ pounds and is more of an inside guy. Pettway perhaps ?.

This one kind of took me by surprise. Not that he isn't talented enough but that there was no talk of him possibly leaving early. I hope he has gotten some good advice from the experts. There is a pretty impressive list of RBs in the draft this year. I wish him the very best and thank him for all he has done for Auburn.

Hate to see this... Yea, he probably won't be "the man" next year, but I have bad a feeling he won't be seeing a lot of love come draft day, either. Fingers crossed for him.

I really hate to see this because I think we need him, but I wish him all the best and hope he shines at the next level. He gave all his effort this year and closed out what could have been many distractions. He's a true Auburn man, through and through. Go get 'Em, Peyton!!!!

I really enjoyed Peyton at Auburn. He had a great season and I wish him the best. Having said that, Jovon is the better back and this will only ensure that he gets more carries and is kept happy. Same goes for Roc and Kerryon. This should allow them the opportunity to get more playing time. We had a crowded backfield and these guys really need to step up and seize this opportunity. I hate to see any of our guys leave early, but this might have been for the best. I do think it may be hard for Peyton to find a team given the quality of backs in this years draft, but if anyone can do it, it's Peyton. Good luck.

Took me by surprise too.

Out of all our backs I think he may have been the most complete back. Good runner (but not the best), best blocker, best pass catcher, and durable. He'll be in a big group of non-elite backs who'll try to make a team as an undrafted free agent.

I like this kid a lot. Puts it all on the line, heart. We would have lost to Jax St. without his will to win. I don't want to seem like I am bashing him but I think he was our least talented rb. I would love to have him back but if we must lose one he is the one I would pick. However we didn't have to lose one and I hope we don't get injured and hurt for lack of depth. I do not see him drafted. He doesn't need another year, he needs two, and had two. Not sure what kind of advice he got.
