anyone getting snow??

I know this is not a football topic, but just wanted to if anyone besides me is getting any snowfall? It has been snowing since around 2:00 am as well as sleet and freezing rain. We have 9 inches and counting.

I hope that many places will get snow.

We my fellow Auburn fans, the Doc has now reached 14.5 inches and counting. I think the weather man said that we may get another 3-5 inches before it is all over. I remember on Christmas Day 2011 that we got 13 inches. We have had a few other double digit snowfalls since then, but I think this one might be the mother or all snowfalls that I have witnessed since 2003 here.

I remember when I was a kid that my mom would make snow cream. It was so good. Does anyone out there know how to make this? This would be great to make this again. Good evening and I hope that each of you except those too far south, will see some snow!

No, but I am currently ashamed to be an Atlantan. Atlantonian? Atlantite?

Whatever the word is for the human collective that loses their dang minds at the first hint of *approaching* freezing temperatures coupled with precipitation.

I'm going to work a full day. I don't care what the radio people are telling me.

Even further OT:

Any likely effect on the Panthers' game?

I do know they practiced in the snow today.

There'll be snow, but I saw on tv that they covered the field with tarps; so it should be ok. Would think any weather would favor the Panthers, in any case.

Many Thanks.

Both teams?

I've come to believe that southerners on icy roads are better than television.

Entertainment best enjoyed from a second-story window.

Don't get amongst them.

It's coming down pretty steady in Huntsville, but I so far it's not really sticking. Based on the forecast and what I'm seeing right now I doubt we get enough to cover the grass.

WDE!

We are forcasted for 32 inches here in Northern VA. Currently about2 inches on the ground.

I just heard on NPR that 2900 flights have been canceled in that part of the country for Saturday.

Don't know about the Cardinals. Don't even know if they've landed in Charlotte yet.

And to your second part, it also happens in Colorado. This is in Colorado Springs(some salty language, so use discretion):

About 6" in and around the Laurel Springs area of NC. Not snowing now, but is forecast to continue later, up to 12".

How far is this from Asheville? Do you know where Cedar Mtn. Is located? We are about 3055 feet above sea-level and often get more snow than Asheville. When I started this post, we had 9 inches. I went out a few moments ago, and we now have 11 inches now.

I am excited for the Panthers! I hope Cam lights it up all game and does the same in the Super Bowl. In a round about way, Cam is recruiting for Auburn.

Many Thanks.

We got about 6 inches in NC mountain near Spartanburg. Car is covered and road won't be scraped for another day. Could not figure out how to post a couple pix...but since I'm trapped inside, spending a lot of time on the board with nothing much of interest to add....but the key action keeps my hands warm.
