Big Collection of Marine Corps Films Being Preserved

This article was in Sunday's Auburn-Opelika News. These films are a treasure to anyone not familiar with Marine landings during WW2 or to history buffs. Wish I were close enough to spend some time looking thru them. Young people born after WW2 could learn a lot of history and the horrors of WW2 in these films.

That's for sure. Films like these would be great for history teachers and young people in general.

Semper Fi...I am sure there is plenty of film like this lying somewhere from all branches. It would be great to see some of this.

You'd think we'd learn.

Most of what Mathew Brady photographed in the civil war was ruined. The glass plates were used for greenhouses.
