Rodney Garner again

I said late last week that Garner was not going to take his being passed over by Mark Ritch lightly. He is interviewing at LSU Wed.We should have fired Tater Tot as soon as he tried to fire Garner.Make him the DC and let him recruit.CTT can work with him on th defense. You can say what you want about Garner but one thing you cannot deny: the places he has been at signed the best players they have had in their program.Once he left their recruiting went down.

You can't make chicken salad out of chicken (*&^$

yes, you're right (as everyone would agree) he's a great recruiter.

coach? not so much...that's why ole richt passed him up. there's no reason in even talking about garner, tubs already said he's not in the running.

We definately need to get Rodney back to Auburn in some capacity. He SHOULD be the recruiting coordinator since he does a bang up job of recruiting. It should be for his alma mater rather than the dogs.

be careful what you wish for because you just might get it......guys, garner is an AU man,but his reputation is one that is tarnished for good reason....you know he goes outside the lines as well as i do.....the ncaa would beat down our door

yes he's a great recruiter....why? because he's dirty. it's a known fact that he's a dirty recruiter...i don't want to see none of this "tot put a bullseye on his back." if garner isn't considered for any job opening, it's because of his own ways.

I don't know anything about Garner, so can only speak in generalities, but...

Tuberville is a great recruiter and doesn't need that much help in that area, so I think it's more important that he get someone who can "coach up" a good defense. [Not that CTT is any slouch in that area either.]

If there are any questions about Garner's recruiting ethics, or his coaching abilities, I'd say pass on him.

Live in the NOW!!

Tennessee continued to recruit well after Garner left.

And last time I checked, Auburn is recruiting well and has a team full of guys with character.

Those rumors about Rodney are usually started by those he beats in recruiting.

Sure....

There wouldnt be any rumors if he was a bad cheat, alledgedly.....

As good as he is I would rather stick with what we have now. Recruiting laws are only one kind that he breaks with recruits. I'd bet my next paycheck on it.

No way in hades do I want Garner at Auburn. if you don't think Garner has baggage jst ask Phil Fulmer. Do you think Garner left Tenn. of his own accord? No way Hosea. And Fulmer is an expert at baggage. And some of you must have forgot about him stabbing Auburn in the back by calling Fred Beasley and other Auburn players after he went to Tenn.

Do you have any evidence that they were not? I have it from an extremely good source who knows several kids who were recruited by Garner as well as their coaches. When he told me about it he said take it to the bank. He heard it not only from the kids but the coaches as well. Believe it ot don't, I couldn't care less. We know it is in your best interest to deny it.

I have had several friends who have went through Garner as well saying nothing of the sort.

On the other hand, my mailman's friends daughter's cousin did tell me something else so you never know....

Yep, he satbbed us every way he could. I can understand hin being angry with Tater but he lost my respect by turning on Auburn. Heck we gave hin his big opportunity. he was kind of like Barkley, a nobody from leeds, AL.

I wrote Coach Fulmer a letter telling him I thought it was unethical for Garner to be contacting Auburn players. Fulner wrote back saying he agreed and said he had told Garner to stop it. That says a lot to me.

first of allslink, I think that it is beyond safe to say that if you knew of any wrongdoings by garner that you would put a gun to your head before you spoke about it on a rivals open forum. Your assertion is absolutely meaningless. Like I said, belive it or not, it's true.

Second of all, I have never said anywhere on these forums what habit of his I am referring to so how you come up with your friends saying nothing of the sort is humorous when you don't even know what I am talking about. Of course, you probably know EXACTLY what I am referring to don't you?

Yeah, he's clean slink. I don't guess any other uga coaches have ever done anything bad either. They are always going to bed early so they'll be plenty rested for church on Sunday.

Why is mine meaningless? Because I don't agree with your view which has nothing behind it but your so-called friend or whatever saying he cheats? Good friends of mine who have told me several stories of NCAA violations during recruiting and during the season. Just nothing from Garner.....

And I am not sure where you get this thing that UGA coaches are clean....everyone in the SEC cheats one way or the other.....

I am sure your mailman's cousin's daughter does know the whole story. I heard she said Tommy cheats too. I mean...I have about as much evidence on him as you do.1

88, this reminds me of your argument after Auburn won the SEC where you kept saying that I said this and that and when asked to show where I said any of it you kept stating "You know you did." Then when I provided links showing you what I actually said you would move to another fabricated saying which was followed up with "You know it. Don'y lie!"

Why is it meaningless? Were you unable to comprehend my last post? Your assertion is meaningless because if you had heard anything about garner you wouldn't admit it. Please don't even try to deny it. I'm sure you would not ever admit to knowing of any specific wrongdoings by a specific uga coach that weren't already public knowledge so how do we know you aren't lieing now?

Poke fun at my source all you want. He is a good friend who has MORE THAN one firsthand account of the things garner supposedly did from high school players and coaches.

Like I said in a previous thread, I'd be surprised if he was still doing it because SO MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT NOW. I have heard it from more than one person, but the one I mention is the most solid.

You sure are spending alot of time defending a baseless accusation. Don't waste your breath dude. Like I said, too many people already know.
