I fail to understand why

the son of a former Auburn player would pick the Bammers over us! It seems that they never lose the son of a former player but Trott is seriously considering them over us. For example, the Castille's both followed Dad, Neighbors followed Dad, Croyle followed Dad, and so on and brothers follow brothers. I'm frankly insulted that Trott would indicate this morning in the Bham news that they have a slight lead over us. He seems to be another of those players who want attention by delaying their decision until most rosters are filled up (he had to cancel Miami visit because he waited too long and they filled up) wanting more attention. Tubs is supposed to visit him tonight but he may choose Bammer over us. If he does, good riddance!

Let's be honest, if Gabe chooses Auburn, Trott might have more competition than he is wanting...........He has been a superstar at this PRIVATE school, and may shy away from the heat! I've got a Huge question.......Where is Coach Borges? Shouldn't he be with CTT on the Recruiting trail going to the players houses? Whenever they talk about Tubs in the paper it states that he's doing some in home visits all over Miami, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi........But, it never says anything about Borges. You'd figure that he'd be with CTT when they go to Antone's home and Trott's......Just wondering. Nah, I'm not questioning anything that Coach Tubbs does Recruiting wise........I'm just wondering how good of a Recruiter Coach Borges is.....And, if he's with CTT on these Trips.........You'd figure he'd be with 'em, but it just hasn't been writen.....I remember when Coach Tubs, Mazzone, Lovett, Whitt, The Waterboy, The Towell Girl, and Housel went to Carnell's house to Recruit him........Just wondering/hoping we're giving the same treatment for Antone, Darius Dewberry, and the Rest of the recruits that Coach wants to bring in.

Actually, Trott did not say Bama had a slight lead over us. The quote below seems to indicate to me that on the heels of a visit and a big push from Bama, it's a toss-up in his mind:

"I don't want to commit and not be positive. Auburn, they did have a slight lead, but I'm not positive anymore. I'm looking forward to my visit with Coach (Tommy) Tuberville."

Just one point...it's obvious that we're focusing on "D", cause we're still loaded on "O". That said, we've had some nice pick ups at receiver...and maybe we'll get Antone...so if CAB has been involved with that, he's doing a pretty good job! But the real focus has been on the "D" side which is Tubs' strength. It's a thought....

For those of you who have had questions about Coach Borges, the following two statements are from ITAT (open forum). I thought you might be interested.

re: Question about Al Borges....

He has such a great personality that he is an asset in recruiting. However, like many coordinators, he doesn't have a larger recruiting territory, but he does help the other coaches with offensive recruits. For example, Gabe McKenzie, who is expected to announce his college choice today said after his visit to Auburn that Borges has him excited about AU and used the word "genius" to describe him. Borges recruits southeast Georgia and northeast Florida and helps out in other areas. Ryan Stamper is a guy that he has been recruiting out of First Coast in Jacksonville.

If Gabe becomes a Tiger, a huge assist goes to Al Borges and the new offense. Gabe was lukewarm, at best, on Auburn until he saw the Borges offense in action and how he uses the tight ends.
