Although I think our chances are less than 50/50, I would stay after Smith. Tubs and crew meet in home with Greenwood tonight and he will then decide. I think we get him but he's not critical.

Smith is less than 50-50 if you ask me. I would rather go with a 'sure thing' 3 or 4 star than risk a 5 star not committing. I said QB b/c I just dont believe in our QBs right now. If Cox should go down....., where is our depth?! I would rather be deep at the QB spot, although RB is cetainly good as this year showed.

I dont think Powe is worth going after, after the stunt he pulled.

CTT doesnt believe in "playing games" when it comes to recruits.

my top three guys are the same as they were before. i want walter mcfadden (he's a cornerback by the way). i've heard so much about him from folks around here after our coaches said he was the fastest player on the field all summer. he's number one for me b/c i think he's got the measurables to be a lock down corner. then antone smith b/c i've seen video and he's incredible. then jon demps b/c he's a solid guy in the middle, and that would solidfy that linebacking class as one of our best ever.

I doubt we sign a QB this year at all. Ensminger's son will be a Senior in high school next year and is projected to be one of the top QB's in the south.

I agree with that completely. I like the Greenwood kid too, but I am not as worried about him.

Why aren't we signing a QB?

I'm not sold just yet on Cox...I mean who could be? We've only barely seen him in mop up duty...don't know the slightest about our backup(s?) either.

We're not signing a QB this year since we signed two last year and we have our eye on Spain Park's QB who will be a senior this coming year. From everything I hear, he is all-world and ours to lose (lifelong AU fan).

CTT has always said he wants to sign at least 1 QB EVERY year. I think he'll pull an out of the South surprise with some big recruit this year. 13-0 should translate to more attention from the other 50 states, and Newburg et. al. don't do their homework out of region (unless it's Notre Dame).
