Someone probably gave them to him. They were very popular with all of the fans down in NO. I've got a nice collection of beads from the Sugar Bowl myself - the best set has a big ol' AU medallion on them. They are too cool for school.

I've noticed a while back how beads are more and more visible at events beyond Mardis Gras. St Patty's day a few yrs ago I noticed how many folks were wearing 'em.

My brother picked some up at the Cap one bowl when we beat them psu a couple of years ago and they are now his "lucky beads" They did their magic at the lsu game and the Sugar Bowl this year.

That is so awesome. The PSU game was tremendous for CTT and the team for so many reasons. Gotta love the karma of the beads
