I don’t like Christmas trees. They are not good for about a year because of the odor the sap gives off and don’t last 2.

@alexava...@saltytiger

  It appears the cheating walleye anglers had their boat and/or boats seized by the sheriffs department. May be justice after all......sorry can't post link from xbox...above my pay grade 😆

There was a suspected cheat for years that fished Dauphin Island Deep Sea Rodeo, actually worked for Game and Fish Commision......Never pursued so should say alleged......Never understood cheating.

Got out for a few hours yesterday afternoon. They preferred minnows. Had I figured that out sooner, I would probably had significantly more.

In my extended absence, I didn’t know this thread existed. Here’s a couple of pics from us at this year’s Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo. We fish out of Orange Beach and it’s usually the only trip I get each year since relocating to TX 😢

Love January and February in this area. Had everything ready to go yesterday and rain blew in. Hate rain gear and do not like getting wet in January and February.
Good day there Alex

I retired in August and bought a house on Lake Wedowee in Alabama, about 60 miles north of Auburn.  I bought a Green Blob light for my dock, and caught a lot of crappie, spotted bass, and flathead catfish at night.  The fishing was good in August, September, and October, but it's supposed to be great here in late winter thru summer.

Nice place and nice catches. Lake Wedowee is a very good lake for bass fishing too. Go to YouTube and search Lake Wedowee bass fishing in your spare time.

Been getting out some. Not as much as I hoped. This is from last Saturday. Wind was strong from sw so I worked an area protected by a south bank from the kayak. ( I would have had to go miles on main lake to get my boat in there). That’s 31 in the cooler. Glad I didn’t get checked. Threw the one in the net back and 3-4 other 2pounders.

I got a GoPro for Christmas. Haven’t had it on yet. I don’t know if I want to try it in the kayak, I don’t want to lose it. But I will eventually post a video.

Peaceful day! Windy but the fish were active and I had it all to myself.

February and early March was good to me. Lots of bass and huge bluegill on a small rooster tail. Crappie mixed in here and there. Ones I did catch were slabs.

Several quickly yesterday before rain and lightning blew in. Seems every time I have started something this week a storm comes in from nowhere. Early in the year for that pattern.

Should be prime time for them right now. Post some pictures. Have always done my best with them mid May through mid June early morning.
