Certainly you wouldn't accuse a school or coach of illegally paying players without evidence right?? This is big news and LSU needs to be held accountable. Lets hear what you've got. Lay your evidence out.

"Ruin another talented QB"? Russell and Flynn both have 3 years left. Are their careers already over? LSU has only 2 QB's on scholly of course we needed another one. It just so happened that we had the #1 QB and recruit in the country commit. He'll be given his shot. If RP can come in and take the job from Russell or Flynn then great for him. I expect Russell's arm and 2 years experience to win out.

Auburn dropped him off their list because JR had narrowed it down to LSU and FSU.

I'm not wishing for anything. Unless someone has evidence of wrongdoing they shouldn't be making accusations they can't back up.

Every year it's the same thing from every board. If a recruit commits somewhere else it's "We didn't want him anyway" or "they must have paid him off...". It's just ridiculous. If you're going to accuse someone of something have the balls to back it up.

That was just the Rumor going around at the time about JR........It did seem kinda Odd that we would take a Scholly offer away from a Highly Touted Recruit out of our own backyard.......so did a few other schools.....as for Ruining a career, I probably jumped the gun on that statement, because who knows he might become the next Jason Campbell.......As for a position as scruitinized (sp?) as the QB position you shouldn't throw a Green QB out to the Wolves of an SEC Defense.....Now, if he's better than your seasoned Veteran, you really have no choice.

I'm the type that would rather have my QB come in and soak up the Offense for at least one year before I'd stick 'em in. Because if you put him in too early and he say, Throws an Int. or gets Smacked around, that can have some Longterm effects on him. It really all depends on the type of Player the kid is.....take Zow for instance, he'd get sacked or throw an Int. and he'd be done for the Rest of the game. He was like that all the way up to his SR. year, then he kinda bloosomed. Who knows this RP kid might be the next Dan Marino, only time will tell.

I for one have never operated on the Jamarcus rumors, but I've heard them from VARIOUS locations. It seems almost common knowledge around my circles.

No disagreement there. The thing is Russell redshirted his entire freshman year. I don't think it's too much to ask a sophomore to play. If you have a seasoned veteran you'd rather play him but in our case with Randall he stunk from the opening game. Russell had to play.

Russell's problem was that he relied too much on his raw talent. He didn't hit the books (playbooks and film room) enough. That may cut it in high school but not the SEC.

I think the Ryan Perrilloux signing will help a LOT. Russell knows there is someone coming in with the same or better raw talent. His only advantage will be his head. He knows if he wants to be the MAN he'll have to start being a more cerebral QB. He looked good during the bowl game so we'll just have to wait n see.

He's been an LSU lean for a long time. His home town is a BIG LSU area.

He and his parents always wanted him to go to LSU. There is a belief that momma wasn't very fond of Saban. That they didn't like the way he was handling the QB situation last year. So Ryan committed to UT. After Saban left Ryan reconsidered LSU.

Leak had a good year after a few bad games.

I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just not done often. I've heard some pretty amazing reports from scouts across the country about Perrilloux so maybe he can do it.

LSU has a favorable schedule so we're looking for good things this year. Once again the key question mark is QB.

He certainly thinks highly of himself:

"I do it all. I can run and throw. I have a lot of time to throw and I have a real strong arm. I'm also real fast and the type of QB that everyone wants. I want to improve reading defenses and anticipation."

He's got a rare gift you dont see often, somthing that cant be taught. He "has a lot of time to throw". On scout it says his 40 time is 4.65. Sorry, but thats not "real fast" as he puts it. Brandox Cox runs a 4.7. I dont like this guy's cocky attitude.
