BG I do not HATE anyone. This is about a man that had a problem breaking NCAA rules for years. I truly believe that he was the target for years.

Hey, lets get back to playing ball and having some memories. Why waste the rest of your life waiting on lawsuits over stuff that happened years ago.

Why is it that a lot of bama posters feel the need to make a big splash with player's pics, etc., in their posts, especaially basketball players in a football forum? Maybe it's just me but it seems a bit rude. I don't do that in the few other forums I participate in.

I personally don't hate bama at all, but am glad that this type of ridiculous rule bending has been brought to light. I don't care if he is a rogue booster working on his own or whatever(lets just ignore all the phone calls btwn. young, cotrell, and williams) . As was stated when this whole festering stinkpile started, the only reason he/bama got turned in was because it had been going on for so long and it was so out of line w/ respect to how other schools do things.

LY was a rogue booster, and after the sanctions handed down on the Tide, I fail to see how any collegiate fan would wish for anything but a conviction against him. He has hurt Alabama, but also soiled all of the SEC and he should pay for his crimes. Who cares if other school's boosters were interested in the bidding war? LY bought that young man, and put shame on Alabama and everyone else involved.

As a BAMA fan, I accept that, and will gladly move on. Such travesties should not occur, but when they do, they should be pounded mercilessly.

I've never put anything anti-auburn in my sig or avatar...and never will. But I see nothing wrong with being a fan.

BG, the reason I asked was to see if you had taken off the crimson glasses after the verdict. You told me yesterday that they had no way to prove the money came from LY.

I never said it would hurt UA more than it already has. The fact that he did what he did is the main reason that UA got hammered in the first place. That and the fact that the NCAA knows IW was tied in but can't prove it. The money trail they could prove.

I am no lawyer and I don't know what kind of evidence was presented in the courtroom, but I was truly shocked when the verdict came out. I never thought that any jury, even a Tennessee one, would convict this guy. no matter how slimy and sleazy he semed.

Phillip Shanks was on Finebaum yesterday and he was all worried about how Logan was going to make it in jail. He acted like they were sending him to Shawshank, not some white collar federal country club where he just won't be able to drink all day. Shanks was almost to the point of tears. Personally, Young brought all this stuff on himself and now he needs to face the music. Of course, there will be appeals and such. I predict he will never make it to prison. As much as everyone talks about his drinking, liver problems can't be far off. Plus, the appeal process will drag out and he will probably get the verdict overturned or work out a plan to pay a huge fine. Oh, well, at least he can't buy players anymore. At least without standing a reasonable chance of being busted. Again.

I listened to Shanks and Scallion on Finebaum after the verdict and I was absolutely embarrassed for them. Shanks is a blubbering idiot and was claiming the verdict was racial as is everything in Memphis. It's no longer an NCAA/Fulmer conspiracy, it's a race thing. Yea....okay Phillip. Finebaum asked him why Young was not put on the stand and Shanks said:

Well...uuhh, Logan, uh well...he comes with...uuhh some baggage.
