Alabama is the cancer of college football

"This is a victory party for ridding Memphis and Shelby County (Tennessee) of a cancer on college football," Adams said in a phone interview over the din of party guests. "We started with 20 people. We ended up with 40 because of this occasion."

Adams, a University of Tennessee season-ticket holder and frequent Internet critic of Alabama and disassociated Tide booster Young, claimed the conviction has made Memphis "the cleanest city in the country, in terms of college football recruiting."

This guy is a worse druken braggert than Logan Young. He admitted on finescumyesterday that he used to pay players to attend UT, but he has since quit that practice (yeah....and I have some swampland in Florida). If the NCAA had balls, they would get a copy of yesterday's finescum show tape where Adams basically said he still does the $100 handshakes because everyone still does it.

Look....I have to admit I'm looking forward to all the $h_t that is about to start because of this guys mouth. If you think bama hated UT before, it's really going to get intense.

It's going to be fun...after all, recruiting is over and PF doesn't have much to talk about until August. If he can keep this fire fanned, well....at least the advertisers will help pay his salary.

Wow, it's great to be an Auburn Tiger, a place where honesty, integrity and class are taken seriously, not only by the coaching staff and players, but by the alumni and fans alike.

That's the whole maddening thing about this Albert Means case. TennStud is the equivalent of Logan Young in that pi$$-yella' orange color that UT is so fond of. And it drives the bammies nuts. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

:lol::lol:

Phillip Fulmer is laughing his substantial azz off over this whole mess.

The problem with UT is that they're not just pissing off Bama anymore...

See UGA, Miami, USC, USC. Its becoming a running joke in college football...UT has their get outta jail free card, so now Fulmer doesnt even try to hide his transgressions.

It wouldnt bother us bama fans if some well intentioned UT fan was posting all this high and mighty anti bama stuff...but instead its a guy who is just as bad, if not worse, than LY.

The difference would be that LY has been proven GUILTY in a court of law. :)

I was out of the area during the eighties and the internet was not available then, so I have a question. Alabama, during the Bryant era, was the Golden Child of the NCAA and could not be touched regardless of their transgressions.

Exactly when did Alabama lose their "get out of jail free" card to Tennessee?

Somebody tell me what's the difference........... oh wait $146,000

Talk about a double standard

Tennessee can get away with and not be punished, but Alabama can without much hard evidence?

Go figure

And who's reaping the benefits?

Good Ole Rocky Top

at or near #1 in recruiting.

You are beginning to understand how Auburn fans felt during the Bryant years and why we began to dislike bama so bad.......just like bama doesn't like Tenn. today.

It was bama squealing on Auburn and bama holding the get outta jail free card. That's why you are seeing the glee now of so many Auburn fans about bama's long overdue troubles. Hurts doesn't it?

I heard the guy whao was attorney general when this whole thing started on finebaum (Rarely listen to pondscum, but it was signing day and I couldn't pick up my favorite show).

He said that it didn't greatly damage gallions case because it dealt largely with procedural issues, and didn't have as much to do with whether or not a crime occured.

I am usually pretty good at reading people and his voice seemed a little hesiatant when he began answering the question. I was guessing he might be thinking that it might impact the jury some even though it shouldn't. I'm assuming it's a jury trial. and I am totally guessing.

Anybody seen an analysis of what the Logan Young trial outcome will do to the Cottrell-Gallion circus?

I'm not a lawyer but the Cottrell deal in down the tube. Unfortunately Gallion makes a nice pile of money.
