In 2005 which game wil be harder LSU or UGA?

Even though we usually play good in Athens; I think UGA has taken back Athens and I going to say athens will be tougher than tiger stadium.

UGA has only lost one game there in three years.

The fans at tiger stadium will be worst than at athnes by a mile. I hate corndogs.

lsu. it'll only be our second road game of the year. and a lot more hostile than fayetteville. our qbs will struggle.

Strange reason, but we will have a better chance if the game is played at 2:30 on CBS.

It won't look good if it's a 6:45 start on ESPN. LSU in the dark is tough, but then again, Troy did ok.

I think the toughest game will be Ga. Tech, simply because it will be Cox's first start and the Jackets have a pretty good team coming back including Reggie Ball. Toughest road game will be :lsu: by a long shot, the cajuns will be fired up cause they hate us with a passion, plus want some revenge and they also have a good team coming back.

What defensive stars? They were already gone when we played UGA

Good point. But you know that losing Thomas Davis and Thurman early would hurt anyone. Not to mention all the seniors that they lost. Davis and Thurman always brought it to the table. Just when they played us, the table was higher than they could reach. :poke::uga:

I worry about the LSU game next year for the same reason I thought LSU should have worried about our game this year - early SEC game, on the road - new, young QB.

The only advantage here for AU, is that I still feel LSU doesn't have a proven QB (while JC wasn't nearly where he was today, he had proven he could lead AU to victory over LSU in the past). In addition, LSU loses some key Defensive leaders in Corey Webster, Marcus Spears, and Travis Daniels. Like the rest of you - I hope this game isn't an ESPN night game - but I'm not going to hold my breath.

UGA lost a ton on D, but will reload - but also are missing the leaders. I'm not sold on Shockley - especially since scrambling QB's have been useless against AU the last few years (Jones, Bryan Randle, Omar Conner, etc).

Both will be tough, tough games.

But you forget how great of a defense we will have next year. Besides working out the cinks in the secondary, we'll be fine. The big thing in LSU and Georgia games is to avoid turnovers or big momentum shifters. Those will kill us :au:

why will we have such a great defense? we lost carlos and junior in the secondary(the two best players on defense). Also Langenfeld, Eddins, and Ratliff are gone from the line. We keep our best lb's but we lose a lot from those other positions. We should be alright for the most part but not where we were last season.

Any time you change dc's the d will be a question mark. I think we have a big one right now.

The good thing is that we have some def. coaches like joe whitt who will always have their guys ready to go.

speaking of tough away games, i wont be attending any more games at jordan hare. i shouldnt have gone to the last one after the au athletics dept would sell a ticket to the lsu-au game only with the purchase of a ticket to the ul monroe game. i hope lsu's ath dept never does that **** to y'all.

i disagree that auburn's defense will struggle. we have to work out who the rotation will be in the secondary, find some backups in the linebackers, find a run stuffing strongside end, but that's about it. travis williams was the second best player on the defense (i love junior and all, but travis was the qb of the defense and carlos was the homerun hitter). we're going to be better at end as far as talent goes (i mean eddins and langenfeld just don't have the talent that mcclover, groves, and gunn have). we're going to have a year's experience at every linebacker spot. we've got lots of bodies in the secondary and two returning starters.

also, the lsu game isn't early. it's the seventh game of the season. five straight at home, arkansas in fayetteville, then lsu. it will only be the second road game of the year though. first time for cox or booker to even make that trip. that'll be the tougher game in my eyes.

thats still a lot of kinks to work out in one season. theres gonna be a pretty good amount of young players out there. also gettin a new DC doesn't help. there is always some sort of transition when that happens. and i agree, the LSU game will be the toughest all season.

Great, that leaves more tickets for us who are just happy to secure a ticket however we can. :au:

About our defense, we seem to hear that our defense is losing too many players every year, and we end up having a good defense.

I think LSU will be tougher because of the game's importance in the West, even if Georgia could potentially turn out to be a better team.
