Six SEC schools ranked in top 10 nationally for total revenue

According to USA Today’s database, the SEC had a very lucrative year. Highlighted by Texas A&M ($194,388,450) at No. 1, the SEC had six schools ranked in the top 10 nationally for total revenue for 2015-2016.

The others:

• Alabama (No. 4/$164,009,745)
• LSU (No. 7/$141,651,460)
• Florida (No. 8/$141,441,109)
• Tennessee (No. 9/$140,448,955)
• Auburn (No. 10/$140,070,593)

Texas A&M’s revenue is up $1,779,574 from last year. Also, the Aggies’ profit margin of $57.2 million is nearly three times as much as the next SEC school, Florida, which raked in $20.1 million in profits during the same amount of time.

Here’s a look at how the other SEC schools fared for total revenue:

In terms of total expenses, Texas is No. 1 at $171,394,287. The highest SEC school is Alabama at No. 4 with $145,277,366, followed by Texas A&M (No. 5/$137,101,774), Tennessee (No. 8/$128,011,504) and Kentucky (No. 10/$127,225,580) in the top 10

You would think our facilities would be top notch with that kind of revenue.  I imagine our profit is is holding us back.....

No JJ is......... PTB don't want to use the really big bucks at this moment with JJ handling money and project. We got all the money we need to anything we want. Now as I've said before things can change just have to wait and see.

Geez.  This sounds pitiful.  Now I understand the venom sprayed JJ's direction.  Auburn is a giant in the making, we just need to release the beast.

Times are changing and that means the recruits are too.  I am dyed in the wool traditionalist, but I have come around and want us to play with different helmets (same jerseys) and create some buzz for the players.   Our jerseys would look cool with some of the mock ups I have seen.

Couple that with the dollars....and the wins coming this year....we could more easily land key recruits instead of slogging around in the damn mud!  Penny-wise and a pound foolish!!

He was protected by the previous Auburn president now that he is gone........ JJ knows the score we shall see what happens in the future.
