I agree whole heartly...........If they do rehire them, it'll be like them admitting somethin'.........Now, if it was agreed upon, before the firing, that they'll be asked about another position in the Athletic Dept. then I see it as bein' aight.........But, in the Media's Eyes it'll look like they're admitting it.

Temporarily completely ignoring the specific Danley case, and also putting aside the race issue for a minute:

On the one hand, micro-management is almost always a bad idea. Didn't we just get through being told that by SACS? If the BOT isn't supposed to be involved in the specifics of hiring & firing within an individual department at AU, surely a legislative caucus sticking it's nose into specific internal departmental actions is improper micro-management.

BUT! on the other hand--How many times in the past have we wished and hoped the Legislature would come in and correct internal problems at Auburn when the BOT, the Adminstration, or whoever wouldn't listen to reason? If something wrong happens at AU, who has the power to correct it? [...not saying that the Danley case is right or wrong, specifically]

..just looking at the two sides of the coin--without even being sure how I feel myself. Personally, I hope things can be resolved in a reasonable manner without outside (Legislative caucus or whatever) influence.
