Job growth slowed in 2016 but wages did rise

I saw that there was some talk about job growth on here so I decided to use Google and found an interesting article.

I know it's not as reputable as ThinkProgress or VOX, so that's why I'm posting this in Smack Talk:

Quote

Thanks partly to a tighter labor market, weak global economy and strong dollar, job growth slowed last year to a monthly average of 180,000, down from about 230,000 in 2015 and 250,000 in 2014.

There were more jobs being created in 2014 and 2015 and job growth was starting to slow in 2016.

Also, the Feds finally raised the interest rate at the end of 2016 and just raised it again in June 2017. Who knows what the job growth would be right now if the interest rates had been kept the same as they had been for the last 8 years?

But the most important take away from all this is that job growth is slowing because of...  Trump.
