New ESPN commercial

Have you seen this! I hate to say it, but it was funny. It shows an elderly gentleman walking the hall in the nursing home, connected to an IV. He is wearing an Auburn sweatshirt, which is the first thing I noticed. Another man passes him, with his back to the camera (also an old timer with an IV attached), and trips the Auburn guy up, making him fall down and knocking over the IV drip. As the Auburn guy is "cursing" and waving his fist at him, while lying on the floor, the camera pans to the guy who knocked him down. He slowly turns towards the camera and is wearing a UAT hat! Too funny! The catch phrase is something like "never to old" or something like that!

I guess since they can't beat us on the field, they had to find some way to get back at us!

I saw it last night. I thougth it was the uat guy just would help the AU guy up after he tripped or something. It wasn't clear that the AU guy was tripped by the uat guy to me. Either way, it shows the typical bammer class!

I don't care if you are a Bammer or an Aubie, you have to laugh at that. Just shows that no matter how old you are or how "mature", there is always a time to pick on the other guy.

for those of you are are saying typical bama class, it's not like they made the commercial. I thought it was pretty funny. It's for the ESPN U station thats coming out next month. They used to have some funny ones for Ohio State/Michigan. When the girl and guy are making out in opposing sweatshirts, a graphic comes on the screen and says something like "if it weren't for sports, this wouldn't be disgusting." and another one where some guy puts a Michigan bumper sticker on an Ohio States fans car before he goes to work. They are all pretty funny.

March 4th, 2005...........If you already have ESPN and ESPN 2 do you also get ESPN U? Or, do you have to pay for it.........also, is it going to just talk about the Main College Sports??

I saw it for the first time today...had to admit I laughed, even though we were the butt of the joke. I hope my cable picks this channel up and ditches something like the Oxygen network or some other crap that I don't ever watch. Hopefully ESPN U will show more college baseball.

I saw it last night, and it's hilarious. I love the fact this rivalry is so well-known. I grew up in SC long before the Lamecocks were in the SEC, and I thought SC/Clemson was a big game. Hah! Then I went to Auburn, and was forever changed. I WILL be knocking down old Bammers in the nursing home if I make it that far.
