Can't stand them, but Bama is one well coached football team

They are a well paid machine. And they have built a business that ensures they will stay on top. It has ruined college football.

Ok, you still have to coach em when you get em

That's true for any team. But when all the well compensated top talent is in the same locker room it is not a difficult task.

Auburn could pay the same players and they wouldn't look half as good. Alabama wasn't exactly winning prior to Saban so trying to undercut him as anything other than one of the best college coaches in football probably isn't the way to go. It ultimately comes down to fundamentals and coaching. Alabama has it,  Auburn doesn't. Just because Alabama drafts a bunch of five star athlete coming out of high school doesn't mean they don't needto be coached. I've seen plenty of highly touted athletes flame out or never reach their maximum potential because of poor/ inadequate coaching.

The gap between uat and the rest of CFB has never been wider and it will not close until Saban is gone or the NCAA grows a pair. Frankly, if this were USC or OSU, it probably wouldn’t be a big deal, but becuase it’s AU’s biggest rival and a fan base that has enough bad eggs that only get worse with success, it sucks the fun out of any talk about matchups and playoffs.

But the NCAA has made a ton of money off it, so yay I guess.

Funny....I had that same thought last night.....though I guess if it were Urban or one of the other 'shady' coaches I would still be p*****d...but because it's bama and so close to home....?

OM turned out to be what we expected....no defense and a shaky offense and bama could have scored 100 if they had wished to.    Like some of those Bud Wilkinson teams of my childhood in the middle 1950s.....nobody competitive against them and they could mostly dial up any score they wanted.

As for this season....'can't see anyone giving bama a very competitive game....likely going all the way.

Totally agree!!  bama is ruining college football. Really takes the fun out of following the sport because it has become so one sided JMO.

Probably not, but how is it exciting to come in week after week as 3 score favorites and behind done by halftime? Yeah you can say the rest of CFB should catch up, but they can’t becuase the NCAA has allow uat to get to where they are and are now on recruiting cruise control.

LSU always plays them close in Tiger Stadium. They haven't won in forever but they'll make it a competitive game.

I don't agree. You aren't even close. Cam did very well. But he is a very special talent....like Bo. Some athletes are just naturals at the game of football and it is something they possess inherently. They will excel because it's the way they are made. bammer has a roster full of those kinds of athletes. For the most part saban starts out ahead of everybody else. When he was in the NFL he was not successful because the talent was mostly evenly distributed and it depended more on his ability to coach. If he has to face a level playing field he doesn't dominate. He's been coaching long enough that he knows what he needs and the REC complies. When the hurry up offense put his defense full of big slow players at a disadvantage he started the campaign against it. The SEC officials, per the REC, gave him what he needed, and slowed the game down until he could recruit faster athletes. Now ol'nickster is using the same kind of offense that he claimed was so dangerous. That's how he works it. The nickster is not really a coach....he's a slick manipulator of college football and he has arranged it to suit him.

Since Georgia is starting to get most of the 5 stars now, you can start to say the same thing about Kirby in a couple of years. I am willing to bet you believe in Bigfoot and UFO's also.

How do you think he learned how to do that?
