Depends on which news site you go to he is listed as an Indie or a Democrat. He seems to be a nice guy with some good ideas and no hope this cycle of being anything other than a footnote. 

Christopher Countryman: Married Gay Activist from Dothan. (my choice for governor) On the right side of Education, Racial, Renewable Energy, & Environmental Policies. I like him a lot. More later.
