And Gov MeMaw is likely one of the more sane pols in the state.

This is what you get when the ADP is too busy trying to elect Pro-Abortion candidates that have ZERO chance of winning anything in Pro-Life Alabama.

They don't have candidates running for most spots because they all know if they have to take the ADP Money, they must be Pro-Abortion AND that effectively ends their chance at winning anything so they don't even bother.

Well the ADP doesn't "HAVE" any money so that's not really much of an issue. Alabama is mostly ignored by the National Democratic Party and donors because they know our state is hopeless and have more important places to focus on.

And the recent Democratic governor candidate Yolanda Flowers was very pro religion, and although she didn't believe abortion should be outlawed, she believed in counseling and trying to encourage all mothers to carry their kids to term and consider adoption. She was endorsed by some pro-life groups.

None of that really matters much. You could take a pro-life Republican's, run them as the Democratic candidate in most Alabama districts and they wouldn't perform any better than the Democrat usually does. Alabama has straight ticket voting. Most people just check one box that says "vote for all Republicans" and then they turn their ballot in. They don't really know or care what the individual candidates believe or say.

The ADP and all state DP get money from the DNC, and very often from those outside the state.

Now, that is where you have strayed off course. No one  ever reads or believes anything that Whitmire, Archibald or Roy Johnson writes, unless you are a D.

So you approve of education funds going to water parks? Prisons? Because that’s the actual substance.

No, but I do support combining the States general fund and educational fund into one.

You mean, so no one will ever know when education dollars go to water parks and prisons?

No, so the whole needs of the state are addressed, not just education. I believe Alabama is one of only a very few states that still separates its budgets and revenues

@PUB78 don’t need no stinkin’ transparency! Keep the people ignant so he’s on a level playing field!

Naw. This would increase the transparency and give a better funding to the overall needs and agencies of the state.

Money gets earmarked for a reason- to reflect priorities. If the government can claim they are addressing a priority and later prioritize a lesser concern for the public, that’s bad government. If priorities change, be transparent and address it. There’s already general budget issues that are addressed more broadly.

Seems 45 other states disagree with you.

Which ones?

All but 5.

You assume wrong, as usual.

You claim a specific number, list no source. That you’re lying is the most rational default. If you weren’t, you could readily remedy it. Oh, and quit lying.

Here you are Moron.  I will do your heavy lifting for you. Since you go by Texas, do you live there or do you even live in the state of Alabama?

This article says that currently 75% of the states income goes to education because of how Graves set up the 2 budget system. Wouldn't combining the budgets lower the education fund to buy "water parks and prisons" as another poster had commented?

Thanks, Genius. Your claim I asked about was 45 states. I don’t see those referenced in your article linked to. Did I overlook it? If so, can you excerpt for me or are you backing of that claim?
