Ipod?

I am looking for an Ipod and just wanted to talk to anyone here who has one...

Would you give it up after owning it? or are you seriously that attached? ( I know a few of my friends are)...

Do you regret buying it?

What all do you use yours for? File storage? Photos? Games on the go? or just music?

I am wanting the Ipod Mini, so anyone who has one and wants to give some feedback, that would be great!

Um...I got an Ipod mini for my bday yesterday. I didn't even know you could put other types of files on it, I'd like to know more about that. But I've been wanting one for a while. I mainly wanted one so I could have all my songs with me in my car so I wouldn't have to burn millions of CDs. I like it a lot. Of course, a lot of it has to do with the fact that I actually buy my music on itunes instead of stealing it like most people do.. It is so much better than having to lug around a cd player and all your cds. Even though I got mine for free I'd say it's worth it.

I have a 20GB iPod that I have had for nearly a year. I have downloaded approx 1500 songs on it so far. Most (95%) are from my own CD collection. I have downloaded from iTunes some but they don't have some songs if they are more than about 10 years old if they weren't extremely popular.

The 20 GB will hold around 5000 songs. You can use certain versions as a portable hard drive. Not sure about mine - never tried. Mine will not hold pictures.

As for the "mini" it is almost worth spending the extra money to get more space. Just depends on how much music you own or how much you plan on using it. You might be surprised ay how fast you can get to 1000 songs.

DO NOT GET A "SHUFFLE." They are not worth the money in any way shape or form, IMO.

I am attached. I would not give it up. My wife has an RCA MP3 player and it is fair, but sucks in comparison to the iPod. I had a Nike/Phillips MP3 player before and it blews.

I don't regret buying it. I have already gotten my $$ worth from it. I bought an FM transmitter and took it to the Bahamas and used it on the boat. I use it cutting the grass, washing the car... just about everything I do. The only thing I wish iPod would do is make one with an AM/FM receiver and it would simply rock!

If you love music as much as I, GET ONE! You won't regret it.

I LOVE my iPod. Do get the extra warranty, just in case. Mine had a software error I couldn't recover from, they're fixing it for free right now.

I listen to a ton of podcasts and music on mine.

I've got a 20GB Archos Jukebox, and love it. My wife has an IPOD Mini, and I can't stand the thing (and not cause it's pink either). I wanted to use her IPOD to get some files off her laptop and put on mine, and I have to have ITunes loaded on both to do that (which I didn't want on my laptop). With my MP3 player, I can just plug in, and use windows explorer. The other thing I dislike about the IPOD is what to do when the batteries begin to stop holding their charge. With my MP3 player, I can run down to Best Buy, spend 11 bucks on a new set of AA rechargeables, but with the IPOD, like Link said, you have to send off and let Apple replace it.

I was looking at Ipods just this past weekend. No real intent on buying one yet, just wanted to see what all the fuss was about, which one would make more sense, and what I'd use it for. There's music, of course, but there's also pod-cast stuff that one can DL for free. Listening to programs and stuff when driving around is a nice change from music/ talk radio that I'm usually into.

I would actually be recieving this as a gift and I think the 4GB mini would work for me...I don't think I could use up 1500 songs worth of space...

I also like the iTrip deal, that way I could listen to my iPod in my house without having to use the headphones...

I think these things are awesome and I hope I end up getting it!
