MDM4AU 338
I am running Windows 2000 on my laptop. It is a work laptop so changing the OS isn't really an option. So, how do I get IE to open links, etc. in a new window rather than in the one I am viewing? It's frustrating to be involved in discussions on the board and go to look something up and have to click "back" several times to get back to the discussion. Guest Tigrinum Major
Right click on the link and a menu should appear. One of the options should be "Open In A New Window". Click on that and it should work. Strange, mine automatically opens up the links in a new window.

And it seems like I have seen an option in a preferences menu where I can select anoption to automatically do this when I click ona menu. I haven't changed anything. But I wonder if maybe oneofthe updates at work defaulted to the way it is now?
bigsixfive 341
There's a setting somewhere in the options to automatically open links in a new window. You can also hold shift when you click on a link, and it will open in a new window.
