tiger88 934
and we have some people here who are blowing their lids over a football game. Very embarrassing to me. Did we get knocked off of our cfb perch? Is it really a big deal? ONLY IF YOU GAIN SOME SENSE OF YOUR OWN IDENTITY FROM THE QUALITY OF THE CFB TEAM YOU CHEER FOR. If you do that is your own mental problem. We have a very good team and we will do fine this year. I just wish some embarrassing idiots around here could put things into perspective. AURaptor 1,137
Perhaps that's part of the problem. Most folks are still trying to comprehend what has gone on down along the Gulf. Thing is, it's beyond comprehension. Not just the devestation, but the human element as well. From the ways in which people have been left to how they are treating each other in the crisis zone, I for one am stunned at it all. So folks may turn to something like football, which we've been looking forward to all summer long, and it goes horribly wrong. Clearly, not end of one's home or life wrong, but in its own context.... after last year, it's a shock to lose a game like that. Whether we see real disasters in the wake of Katrina, or simply disapointment in losing a college football game, one just seems to pile up on the other. Why would you say we have a very good football team, after what we all saw last night? And even if we do, so what ? Isn't that taking things out of perspective? PChamp119 96
Why are you trying to talk about Hurricane Katrina during this? This is a football forum and people have the right to express their opinions. I think you are taking this too far by comparing our reactions to that of Katrina - it's just silly. He expressed his opinion. I share it. You need to grow up. (Another expression of my opinion.)
