BGoodTiger 0
I'm not sure the gameplan going in, but the offense seemed different than last years. I don't mean talent wise. Last night there was no movement, except by linemen before the snap. We did not set up in one offense and then shift backs, receivers, or TEs to get the defense out of their element or confuse them. Last year we didn't do this in the opener either because we weren't going to show LSwho anything but who are we trying to hide stuff from this year? Cox seems to have the talent to be a great QB but he did exactly what everybody said he couldn't do for us to win: he made turnovers in key situations. Those turnovers, and the miscue on third and short where he turned the wrong way, killed any offensive momentum we had. Let's hope they learn from their mistakes and are prepared for MSU. AUloggerhead 2,550
Those are some good points. Another thing that surprised me was the offense not being ready to pick up the blitz. Every journalist writing about this game talked about how GT was going to blitz from outside & inside & on just about every play. I mean, it's not like this was unexpected. I hope this game was just B. Cox getting his batism because every defensive coordinator on our schedule is going to make sure Mr Cox sees plenty more blitzing until he learns to read where its coming from and hit the hot route.
