AUBURN Notes from B'ham News

Maybe this will bring some of this back into perspective:

AU player's brothers killed by Hurricane Katrina

AUBURN Hurricane Katrina hit the Auburn football team hard Saturday when freshman defensive lineman Alonzo Horton learned two of his brothers died in the storm that hit New Orleans.

Horton had spent anxious days in Auburn since the hurricane, awaiting the fate of family members. Three of his teammates from Louisiana Rudy Odom, Patrick Trahan and Patrick Martyn had received happier news at the end of last week when they learned their family members had survived the storm.

Prayers to the Horton family and the families of these other young men. Supporting these young men, and all our players right now, should be high on our list.

Dang I hate to hear that. With this kind of thing going on, those here bashing this team ought to go look at themselves in the mirror.......and puke

Sorry to hear such sad news. May God surround this family with His loving arms and protect them. Prayers sent.

I made a donation of bedding to one of the refugees all the way up here in Albany, GA. I went to Beattie Road Church of Christ and met the lady that will benefit from this. She was so thankful. She wanted to get address so she could send "thank you" card later. I told her she had enough to deal with and she already had told me thank you. My heart is heavy for all effected by this horrible storm. Keep the Faith!

Alonzo Horton my prayers are with you. To those who are upset the team lost a GAME wake up and realise you are lucky you do not have the problems our brother and sister Americans are having in the Gulf Coast.

Would it break the NCAA Rules to have a fund drive for Alanzo?

Prayers to Alonzo and The Horton family. So sad indeed. :au:

Were they his only two siblings?

Is his mother okay? I thought that's who he was worried about.
