I heard that JP. A headlock and atomic noogie would be sufficient. Unless Bo is promoting something, I don't know why he or anyone would give that dweeb the time of day.

Sorry, I'm just PMSing right now. Oh, wait...I'm not a woman. Anyway, I'm on a self-imposed restriction from Finebaum after Tuesday. I listened and heard his rant about CTT and went postal. I tried to call but sat on hold for 5 minutes and thought better of it. Okay, I was mad and realized I'd make a fool of myself and I wussed out, but that's not important. I wound up doing the manly thing and fired off a well drafted, scathing e-mail.

Why do I suddenly feel like Niles on Kramer?

So, Bo's on Finebaum? What time will he be on? :big:

I am not sure what time Bo will be on. But after listening to The Skinny little bald headed gay wad Bama loving offspring of a turd and toxic waste, I won't hang around to hear Bo.

BTW - Jim from Tuscaloosa is the biggest Finebaum asskissing jerk that ever lived.

NOTE FROM JENNY: Sorry I had to edit but c'mon Tigermike, you know better! Calm down, have a beer, and don't let bammers and Finescum get to you. You are better than that!!!

1400 only carries the last 2 hrs of the show and Bo did not dist Tubby. What he said was that AU needs to play more and talk less.

no, he definitely took a shot at Tubs. He said something like, "you need to let your playing talk for you and not talk before you know stuff." Obviously eluding to Tubs saying this is the most talented group he's had. Finebaum then said, "oh I think I get your drift" and Bo didn't respond.

I agree with Moe. Bo also said that he knew the outcome of the game (we were going to lose) prior to kickoff due to Tubby spouting off in the offseason. I think that the audio link for the interview will be available tomorrow on Finebaum's website.

Who will be the first one to say that Bo doesn't know football???

Bo must have skipped the Tubby Kool-Aide Courtesy tent @ Jordan-Hare...

As sad as it is to say, one of the main jobs of a college football coach is to fill up the stadium. Sell those tickets.

There is a line to be drawn between creating excitment about the coming season and over-hyping, especially when the hype can affect the team preparations. I believe the hype resulted in the '03 "disaster". I recall Jason Campbell being quoted that year after the first couple of losses about players not working hard enough in the off-season.

I love Bo and I support Tuberville. Bo may have a different style or a different background or a different overall philosophy, but it does no good for him to make such insinuations, if he did.

Head coach at a major college has got to be one of the hardest jobs in the world. I see Tuberville making progress and changing, even after 10 years as a HC. (It took you-know-who 17 years before he ran the table.) He still does not always say what I think should be said, but overall he does a damn fine job.

He has seen a lot of good teams--championship teams. If he says the talent level is high, I believe him. But he has to know that he's setting himself up for grief if the production doesn't follow. I for one would take every chance I got to "poor mouth" and moan. With the avid fan base we have, I really don't see the need to flower things up. But that's just me.

I do believe strongly, however, in letting results speak for themselves.

I apologize if I went over the top yesterday.

Usually Finebaum does not bother me. But yesterday he was over the top in his invective tirade against Auburn, Auburn people and CTT. He was absolutely venomous, malicious and spiteful. And then Jim from Tuscaloosa was being his usual brown nosing and negative self.

If any of you have ever seen a pile of horse apples, each and every apple in the pile is more intelligent than Jim.

I listen to Finebaum for sheer entertainment, not insight. I like his guests and I enjoy listening to the regular callers, mainly because it helps me feel better about my life.

Finebaum's job is to create ratings. If Auburn folks are ignoring him, he will stir the pot. If Bama is down, he will take shots at them. UT, the same. I believe that he is a big Bama fan, but he will take shots against them just to stir up some stink and make people listen/call in.

I used to get all fired up, but I decided to just take all the negative talk for what it is worth and not worry about what the little media (you know what) drown in his own ignorance.

I guess Coach Tuberville should LIE and say this is NOT the most talented AU team he has fielded since coming to AU. He NEVER said it was the BEST TEAM, he simply said it was the most talented, top to bottom. Does anyone not agree with that fact?

Unreal. Win 15 in a row and lose ONE and all of the sudden you are an idiot. UNREAL.

I heard BO yesterday on Finebaum and was utterly shocked at how bad his stuttering problem is. I knew he had a speech problem but didnt realize it was so severe.

I have heard that it was once much, much worse. I really don't think it is bad. He speaks slowly and deliberately and does much better. When he is speaking off the cuff, he gets excited and it comes out, but not that bad.

As far as what he said, I wouldn't take it as a slam against Tuberville directly. Having said that, I did not hear it and did not hear the tone or context. But he was expressing what he thought and he has every right to do that.

Bo played for a man that really acted as if being on the public eye, doing TV, radio etc. was like going to the dentist. Dye looked totally uncomfortable in front of a camera and was a man of few words when he did get on. It seemed like a necessary evil. Sort of like, "Let's get this over with so I can go back to coaching football."

Tubby, as is the case with most of today's coaches, seems to be more polished and comfortable in front of the camera. He seems eager to come on TV or radio and promote Auburn University, his players and Auburn people. Get used to it folks. Whether you like it, love it or hate it, CTT is ALWAYS going to talk up Auburn and make no apologies for it. His positive statements about the program have absolutely no effect on whether Eddie Gran gets his backs ready to pick up the blitz or Borges calls the right plays or Gibbs has a DB ready to man up with Calvin Johnson.

Add to that his players will graduate and stay out of trouble unlike many other schools.
