BamaGrad03 0
Interesting that they only drop OU one spot after only being up 17-15 with 6 mins left in the 4th Q against a Tulsa team that lost to unranked Minnesota 41-10 the week before. Yet bama drops two spots for beating USM by 9. AZ State drops 7 after losing one late to #3 LSU. But Ohio St drops only two after losing to #2 texas. Raven_tiger 5
Meltdown? Why? Clemson is 2-0. They beat (then) #17 TAMU @ home. And did not have a let down against an ACC opponent in UM. How about those Fighting Irish! Charlie Weis has Quinn looking like Tom Brady. They are a team without exceptional talent and not a lot of depth. To go into the Big House and beat the Wolverines was no small acomplishment. Hats off to Coach Wies and his staff. He could have easily laid down and said that this game was a "preseason game", didn't count or that his team lacked talent therefore he couldn't win, but he didn't ANY excuse. He just won. Guest Tigrinum Major
Dang it! You people are surprising me with your sanity and reason. We are supposed to be outraged at this! How dare they? The previous message was dripping with sarcasm for those of you that have had your senses of humor removed at birth. As far as the coaches' poll being a panel of experts, that is a joke. Pat Dye admitted on the radio the other day that David Housel, the Auburn SID at the time, filled out his ballot each week. moe 0
eh, I don't care. The only reason why the polls would matter would be if we were looking at going to the Rose Bowl this year. That's out of the question already. So now, we're just looking at the SEC championship game - and we didn't even have to be ranked to go there. So right now, Rankings should absolutely nothing to Auburn.

Serious question, Raven, ever heard of "forgive and forget" or "he who is innocent cast the first stone"? The Housel bashing is a little much. Granted he wasn't a great AD (and wasn't always the one to stand up and point out wrongs by others in the university) and he made a mistake with that particular column, but you can't question his love for his (and our) school. That same cannot be said for all Auburn men and women. Constant negativity makes me question a person's loyalty and love to the school. It is one thing to discuss this type of thing over a beer with buddies, but another one all together when the comments are made over an open internet forum that is viewed by thousands of people every day. And some of them are just looking for something bad about Auburn. Just food for thought...
