Bottomfeeder 244
Federal Deficit Fell in Past Year I guessing that your solutions are in line with what ol' dubya considers logic. Like allowing immigrants passage to work and send U.S. dollars to Mexico, right? That's it, that's all you got? Immigrants? I have seen their work and I hope you allow them to work in your house maybe repairing some gas lines or electrical wires, LOL! Tigermike 3,856
How will you pay for our deficit & foreign debt?, A question for republicans Since all liberal's and democrats are in favor of and have never seen a tax they didn't like, why not tax them a little extra? Piglet 0
Liberal Democrats in office say, raise taxes to keep up with spending. Conservative Republicans in office say, spend more than you have and make a future government pay for it, because that's more popular than raising taxes. Great for the politicians, bad for America. If those are the only two options on the table--and I don't see anyone out there willing to do more than just TALK about maybe cutting spending--I'd have to say the Democrats are more responsible on this issue, because they're at least willing to do the unpopular thing and take the heat for it. They're not telling people they can have something for nothing.

Draconian Cuts! Slashing $$ for school lunches! Blah blah blah. That was as close to real conservatism that we've seen in some time, and the Left would have no part of it. Federal Spending needs actual CUTS, not more spending. We need to hold our elected officals more accountable for the $$ we send to D.C., not less. Bottomfeeder 244
Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tx.) is the only one I know of who votes against every spending bill that comes up, especially, porkbarrel spending. Congressman Paul Honored as “Taxpayers’ Friend†for 2003 Washington, DC: For the sixth straight year, Congressman Ron Paul of Texas has been honored as a “Taxpayers’ Friend†for his consistent anti-tax voting record in Congress. http://www.house.gov/paul/press/press2004/pr042104.htm "Congress is like the drunk who promises to sober up tomorrow, without the slightest intention of doing so. The voting public is like the battered wife who somehow keeps believing the promises." http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul272.html
