Players Do Read The Boards

Reading the boards: Senior middle linebacker Travis Williams said Tuesday he is a regular reader of Internet message boards about Auburn football.

And he is not impressed.

"The stuff they say, you kind of question if they are Auburn fans or not," Williams said. "You can tell a lot of people don't know what they are talking about. It sounds like some people make stuff up. Its funny to me sometimes."

Injury report: Ben Obomanu has turf toe and Courtney Taylor has bruised ribs, but Tuberville said he expects both wide receivers to play against Georgia.

Phillip Marshall writer.

He's not talking about this one, very intelligent Tigers post on this board.

I agree with him, especially in regard to some of those boards out there that will allow player bashing and unfettered discourse on all sorts of rumors.

David runs a pretty clean board that will still allow the opinions of the individual members to be expressed. Even when they are in disagreement with his.

Thanks, David! And Titan! and wannabe! and sto!

You are right on Travis. Glad we don't have any of those people here :big::big:

Open letter to Travis (and any other players out there lurking),

Come on over and stay awhile, this site is the most rational, reasonable, and respectable :au: site there is out there. Sure people get worked up about this and that issue, but college football is a highly emotional sport as you know and the fans and followers of teams sometimes get irrational about it all (including our own). On this site you can have a rational and nonflammable discussion about an :au: issue and with an open mind can learn something new and enjoy doing it. There just isn't the Flame-Throwing syndrome here that I see just about everywhere else where people are simply trying to yell louder than the last guy. There are actual thought processes going on here, and I for one, like that. I don't post very much, but like many of you I read a great deal. So in a long round-a-bout way, come here, read, add a little when you want to, and enjoy. People are much more respectful here and that counts for a great deal. The greatest of luck to you guys on Saturday, I live in Athens, my wife works at UGA, and as you can imagine there is a substantial amount I have to put up with. You guys can take them down, you've already proved that with the way you've played through this season, and especially the way you've come together chemistry wise and grown as a team. I know it all sounds kinda corny, but to those have who have really observed between the lines of all we hear and read, this team is ready to hook arms, enter that stadium on Saturday and take some battle to the battlefield. GO GET 'EM and War Damn Eagle!!!! :au::au::au:;) (Sorry everybody, I just got myself all fired up!)
