TigerOne 1,288
anyone hear see it? The Pontiac game changing performance for the 5th straight time was uat. He said "again? might as well give it to Shula for drinking water or taking off his cap." Shula's interview was to say the least L A M E. Basically this means uat was in danger of losing 5 straight times, until a play bailed them out.

Wow...you are a pretty receptive one! Newsflash: you have to make plays to win games. Sheesh. One of those was Keith Brown against South Carolina, another Prothro against Florida. We sure were in trouble in those two!
chuck 0
agree with BG on this one . .but I don't think those type of plays should be "Game Breakers" per se ..
BamaGrad03 0
The only one i voted for was 'the catch'...the others seemed like regular ol plays to me.
WarTim 3,529
Cut flipper some slack. His "signature" win was against a team that was taken to overtime by Vandy.
AUesquire 1
Prothro's catch is still the play of the year. I hope the kid makes a full recovery and is able to resume his career, but he will always be remembered for making one of the great plays of all time. AUesquire 1
True dat' jp. I will say this; however, had that catch been made in a bigger game, say LSU this weekend or an Iron Bowl (God forbid ) it would get some consideration for all-time. Southern Miss won't get it done. Anyone recall the VT/FSU MNC game? What was the players name that made that circus catch at the goal line?

AUesquire 1
I recall the catch, went around the defender to one hand the ball falling down, but I can't remember the player's name. Guess that negates my own big play in the big game theory, huh?

AUesquire 1
I gotcha' hyperbole right here. Hey Ghost, serious observation here. It appears you might do a little writing on a slightly larger scale than just message boards. Am I getting warm?

A little hyperbole is not only allowed, it is welcome, if not expected. We don't write in hopes of attracting the attention of the Pulitzer committee. We just write - thoughts, feelings, emotions, whatever comes to mind. I think you are really very witty - I love your sense of humor. I have actually been one of your defenders, because I appreciate a well turned phrase, especially one dripping with sarcasm. But sometimes you can also just be a real d**k. And the only reason I was yanking on his hyperbole (ouch, that probably hurt!) was because in both instances he was kow-towing to the Bama brood. Reining it in, now... It's hard. I mean, well, not hard. It's uhh.... boy, you left me in a pickle. But not like a gherkin, you know, sliced pickle...not cucumberish in any way.
